The Way We Wore is one of my favourites, they always have wonderful silk slips in there, my collection of silk can never be big enough. I take it you are a fan of vintage?

The top is everything. I really hope you bought that. Is it bad that I’ll actually bring my little portable ipod speaker and play montage music for myself? I actually do know of some good vintage stores! Shareen Downtown and Iguana Vintage are two of my favorites.

In the end I didn’t buy it... it was a lovely colour but I think my husband might have peed himself laughing if I had turned up at home wearing it. I can just imagine his ‘you look like one of the dogs got into a raspberry bush’ now. I haven’t been to Iguana Vintage, I will make sure I go next time I am in town! Do you wear much vintage or do you mix it into your contemporary style?

Their mountain hideaway was a dream for Rosie and while she missed some elements of living in the city. For the most part there was no where she would rather be than in their tucked way little world of solitude and serenity. When Valentine’s day rolled around, she didn’t even think of organising a fancy dinner or having someone look after TK for the night, the idea of leaving the sanctuary didn’t even occur to her in all honesty. If the day was to celebrate love, no where made more sense than the home they had built together with their little man and their small army of rescue animals. Even though it was still cold outside and the threat of snow had been hovering around most of the week, Rosie knew there wasn’t going to be a more beloved option for a special dinner. 

Setting up a campfire not far from the house, sheltered from the wind and with a generous canopy overhead, she dug out the old cut gallon drum she had used when she first started visiting the property. It wasn’t long before a selection of meats were hissing and sizzling away on the fry pan as fresh campfire bread cooked away dug beneath the coals. With TK wandering around at her feet, bundled up in so many layers he almost looked like a Michelin man, his rosy cheeks were plump with smiles. When Thaddeus arrived down from the out building where they had begun in earnest to build the barn structure, Rosie greeted him with a kiss and a quick squeeze of his butt followed by a fond pat. Conversation was easy as always as TK climbed up into Thaddy’s arms and the dogs milled around at their feet, tentatively sniffing towards the fire. 

No pink in sight. I found some hilariously realistic hearts i’m gonna set up on the counter, they’ll beat and everything. 

How did the beating hearts go down?

I was a terror, but I wasn’t the ringleader, that was always Thorpe- not that anyone could physically tell us apart until we were older. You should ask yours to send some over. Then we can cuteness overload the mantle. Do you want Chinese or pizza? I must say the limited options is my only grip about being up here.

You’re still a cheeky sod but damnit it all if that isn’t why I love you. I always used to wonder what you must have been like as a wee lad roaming around, breaking all the girls hearts. Next time we skype with Da I’ll ask him, though I’m sure Mum will be very keen to see your own. Pizza I think tonight, but really we should get better at cooking more! 

Yes, very likely. I feel like we should write their first sentances down and see how similar they are.

Took Taney out for a ride to try and just have a few minutes to ourselves. For some reason we’re getting busier at Asmodeus the closer it gets to VDay. School is busting my ass too. Luckily Krol is the same as always.

Rummaging through some old boxes for some paperwork and found this picture. So here, have a smile, since it’s not a thing anymore. Maybe this was photoshopped. You’ll never know. How’s your week?

This is a required post to celebrate the world’s most perfect shade of lipstick. I was never too fond of nudes but since they made a strong comeback I decided that perhaps I should jump on the wagon and hope for the best. The best, it seems, has answered.

On another note, it’s been quite the long day in the studio and I was hoping someone would be kind enough to bring me coffee to get me through the night. I cannot risk going myself and then just decide to go home since I’ve left already anyway.

I understand that. He’d had them since they were pups, right? I remember they took a shine to you extremely quickly. Your PhD! Rosie, that’s fantastic! What is your dissertation going to be on?

They were very wee in the first photos we have of them, the loves. We keep them close to us. They held us together when we couldn’t do that ourselves.

I am still in the early stages but I am hoping to concentrate on Scots slang development though folklore in the highlands. I’m mostly looking at the traveling bards and their dispersive effect on slang and syntax. It is a little dull to be sure but it does allow me to visit home more often than I have been. 

Mum said she’s going to send some of my baby pictures over so we can see just how much he looks like me. All right, love, I’ll get some of their blankets and head into the room. You want me to order some dinner, too. They always take ages getting to us.

I can’t wait to see them! I’ve rarely caught a glimpse of a young Thaddeus, I bet you are a cheeky monkey like a certain little one I know! Mmhmm takeout it is.

Yeah I really think it’s going to be amazing to hear what they have to say. Probably ask for juice.
