i think i really like the new series

But Sam's shirt in the latest video gives me such Porcelain Pete vibes.

Not me imagining an au where theyre all human and Pete wears those kind of shirts exclusively.

Maybe they could be part of a fashion show or just normal humans totally not in danger.

Pete loves baking and gardening and is usually covered in dirt or flour (or both) because of it and has won the local competition for gardening for the last 5 years.

He also loves making those small diorama kits and likes to fix broken things with gold.

Cheeky is still the big softie willing to help out anyone as long as they pay it forward but is the best mechanic in town.

He's also loves reading books. He has an entire wing of his house dedicated to all sorts of books and has a bigger collection than the library which if you get in his good books he will gladly let you borrow some.

Chlorine (is that how you spell it?) Owns a bar but her passion is still music which is how she met Maureen.

They own a small dance studio where Maureen teaches classes. They sometimes do collabs where she plays music during the classes. Maureen loves karaoke and is always there when theres a karaoke night!

Carlos is new to the town but loves his poetry and writing. He's into sports sports because hes an active boy but his passion is surfing and anything to do with water, something he has loved since he was young. hes the youngest of his siblings so hes very shy.

Hes a introverted boy until you talk about one of his interests and he wont shut up about it and will be your loyal friend forever.

He also loves animals and volunteers at the local shelter and his favorite animals are cats and rats (okay that's on the nose but hey these are my hc and I want them to be happy)

And we cant forget our Danny(Rover)!

Danny is an odd one. Looks like he would hurt you but is a huge love bug maybe even more than Cheeky.

Hes a carpenter by trade by loves art. Sketching. Painting, doodling and also carving little (and big!) Animals and whatever he gets asked to do.

Yeah hes the bouncer to Chlorines club which makes him seem scary but he loves to talk to people and make them feel safe. Its how he met Susie by protecting her from silly drunk people and they fell in love. They've got many children (some even adopted!) And most people in the town call him uncle along with Cheeky.

Okay that was very self indulgent. I am normal about them. I promise.

Pete as a gardener and baker and being into those model things is so spot on 🥺🥺 I can see people asking him if he's ever going to get a partner and our aroace agender icon being like "no thanks, I've got my friends!! and my plants!! and my models!! That's all I want and I am very happy :)"

Cheeky out here being a mechanic and collecting strays is amazing!! He is absolutely the backbone of the community and is one of those people that everybody knows and loves

I would pay so much money to see Maureen karaoke omfgg (have you seen AJ doing Adele karaoke on patreon?? good lord) and her teaching dance is so cool!! And Chlorine having a bar!! I envision so many local music acts and open mics and it being such a safe haven for the arts

I like to think maureen and Chlorine wear matching outfits every day but in their own signature colours (red and green respectively)... and that they each have a bit of each other's colour somewhere in their outfits!!

Carlos would absolutely be a regular at slam poetry nights at Chlorine's, and of course he loves surfing and volunteers at an animal shelter 😭😭 may I propose he works as a lifeguard?? I think that protecting people around water and all fits his vibe but he also really really just wants to get in himself all the time (totally not projecting here)

And I'm so glad you included Danny and Susie and I am FERAL over their meet cute omg

I'm afraid i am not satisfied, dear Lunar...

A few more bits in no particular order:

Pete and Danny make all the decorations for the craft fairs! And also they go out of their way to make extra pretty and colourful bits for the pride march in their town because where else can you choose to get little carved and hand painted dioramas with your prefred colours of pride?

And yes. They started off as rivals but now they are best friends and he often watches the kids and helps them paint and bake shitty cookies but he loves them like his own.

Cheeky also feeds the strays in the town but his main focus is his cats: The Nipple Crew. Visitors think hes insane as hes sometimes seen asking people "have you seen my nipples?" When one of them inevitably runs off and he needs to go find them. He knows each of them by heart and they have very silly variations of the name John Nipples. (Some examples my good friend @rosie-maybe offered: John Nipples Jr, John Nipples the third and Jop Ninnles)

His garage is called Magpies Roost.

Which brings me to an addition that slipped my mind: Magpie.

He is indeed here too. Its a little confusing because he popped up one day and no one remembers when he appeared just he wasn't there one day and now is a constant in the town with his shop, Caravan of Curiosities.

Alas it is not a caravan but its one of those charity shops/antique shops (Props to Rosie again for this idea, I love collaborative aus and hc) that you arent sure how theyre still open but somehow ALWAYS manages to have the thing you need. Magpie just smiles whenever hes asked how he manages to find these things. He's a strange fellow but everyone likes him and he is second in line for karaoke you best believe!

Maureen and Chlorine 10000% keep their matching colours ofc! Most of the time its clothes but during pride they make it a point to have highlights of each others colours as a beacon for their love.

Maureen loves braiding Chlorines hair too. Chlorine does Maureen's make up.

Pete loves teaching others how to press flowers and make flower crowns! He is also the florist at Maureen and Chlorines wedding because of course he is! He is their biggest stan!!!!

That bar is very busy yes yes! Karaoke, poetry nights, quiz nights and they've just gotten interest about stand up and improv shows and are trying to work that into their busy schedules.

CARLOS AS A LIFEGUARD?! YES. YES. 10000%!!!

Thats where Carlos meets Alejandra and a whirlwind summer romance happens where they adopt two rat friends as pets (this isnt self indulgent fuck you <said with affection)

Danny and Susie deserve everything. Susie helps Pete with his gardening and maybe even open up a small garden shop where they offer to teach people as long as they help tend to the plants and cacti a day a week.

Danny would collect those model cars and he and Pete spend many a weekend sitting together, Danny making his cars and Pete his dioramas.

Pete offers his services to repair anything with gold and his expertise in dioramas has saved many an heirloom and sentimental object.

Magpie is called Magpie because he likes jewellery that shines and can be seen walking around wearing stupid amounts of glimmering jewels, necklaces and the like on his person.

Oh and Pete has both arms tattooed in floral and nature tattoos.

Cheeky has a nose ring because I say so

Ive rambled on long enough.

MONKEY FREND...well..idk how much of a friend these ones would be, because they are notorious for coming into our houses and taking our food...and generally...just...making a mess... two of them came into the bathroom a few weeks back... I uh...had to bang on rhe door to get them to leave 😂😂😂 it's not their fault though, their habitat is being destroyed so they come to our gardens to eat fruit and stuff...

ALSO I DID A QUICK SEARCH and turns out this little fiendish friend is a vervet monkey! The yellowish fur apparently indicates that they're a vervet! But we also get Samango monkeys too...

Ive gotten really into peppermint tea lately as it helps calm my stomach and just love mint in general

Unfortunately where I live once summer kicks in it rarely goes below 25 degrees (it was 9pm and 27 degrees yesterday...) but I thank ye for the vibes <3

😂 sigh..I do... this country is insanely beautiful...my city has a lot of open green areas on the outskirts and also the outer uburbs tend to be built with wide open areas basically in people's back yards...so sometimes we see zebra or a buck but we do have a resident flock of guinea fowl that quite literally run and fly around 😂 ..sometimes I have to slow down to let them cross the road...

Assistant to the villain and the following series is one of my favourite things and I definitely recommend it! I'm holding back my yapping cause spoilers... for now.
