I’m 25, turning 26 this summer, and am I the only person who finds it’s really fucked up that my parents straight up refuse to let me drive myself to work if my shift starts before 6/7am or ends at 8/9pm or later?

For context: I live in a really safe area. I also have an brother who is 1 year older than me and has no curfew. He’s allowed to stay out as late as he wants every week eating/drinking/going out with friend “because he’s a man and is safe”.

… but I’m almost 26 and because I’m a female i have an 8pm curfew. And if I try to argue that it’s safe enough for me to drive myself I am stupid and an asshole?? 🙃🙃🙃

It’s also starting to get super embarrassing at work because I am a manager, literally have keys to the store and open/close, and one of the oldest people at work, and I’m the only person who’s parents drive them to work and stand outside the door staring until I get off shift…

My literal teenage coworkers all drive themselves to work, but I’m not allowed ☠️

Am I a fashion blogger anymore??? Not really.

To be honest I’m not sure if I want a masters degree anymore and going into student debt kinda scares me, but I know it will help future job prospects a lot.

Just going to a language school is significantly cheaper and I’m sure crash course studying the language to master as much as I can as quick as I can will help, but I’m not really sure if just studying the language alone will help with jobs.

I think I might have found a Korea study abroad program that won’t break the bank too much. Usually applications for fall semesters are March-April so my March goal is to look into things and start doing paperwork.

Do you guys consider donuts to be a desert or breakfast food???

Growing up on the east coast I’ve always considered donuts a desert and you buy them in bakeries and such.

Ever since I moved to Texas everyone here considers them a breakfast food. Bagels do not exist here and instead they are replaced with donuts. While we have tons of bagel shops on the east coast for breakfast, everything here is replaced with donut shops. Also, because donuts are considered a breakfast food here they are not sold past 10:30/11am and if you eat a donut past then everyone finds it weird???

I’ve casually mentioned to people that where I’m from we consider donuts a desert and every time they call me crazy for not treating it as a breakfast food and wanting to eat it as a snack ☠️
