Racy Lacey

"Want to buy me a drink?" was her first question to the man seated at the bar, when she dropped down in the chair beside him. It was not unusual for her to ask so directly for drinks. Hey, it sometimes worked out in her favor.

"What do you want, kid?" Lacey asked, looking at the child over her mug of black coffee. Granny's was getting a little crowded today. Perhaps that was why the kid had decided to stare at her.

"Ah, Regina, just the person I was looking for!" Lacey greeted, waltzing into Regina's office. As if she had expected to run into anybody else, in this room.

"Can you spare a moment to talk about our lord and savior, Jesus Christ?" she joked, poking the stranger by the bar on their shoulder. Sitting down on the chair beside them, she turned her head to look at them, and smiled.
