Rose:
The totally innocent biologist, currently stationed at MIRA HQ, they had the same job on Polus last year and studied possible life on the planet.
They had been infected with the same subspecies of parasite that had been inside the dubbed 'ore+' being transported on Skeld cargo ships although these were found within larger rock formations around the planet and dormant for a long while due to extreme temperatures until being tampered with by the base's geologist[status: deceased] unfortunately for the real Rose they were with the geologist at that time and were infected.
Maroon:
One of the engineers at MIRA HQ, also previously stationed at Polus with the same job along with being the janitor due to the base being understaffed. They have been friends with Rose since college but while at Polus people began to end up dead they started to keep track of everyone trying to figure out who was the killer and kept a notebook and would cross out whoever was dead or couldn't be the killer, Rose was crossed out the whole time. Maroon never even had the thought of it possibly being them and when it was down to only Maroon, Rose and Lime... we know where it went...
They attempted to run and had their visor slammed into a wall as a result but for some reason that thing kept Maroon alive, maybe Rose was still in there somewhere...
Lime & Purple:
Lime had been stationed at Polus and died there, they were the most recent arrival at Polus Research Station #6 and would do most basic tasks like refilling the water in office. They passed away on 2/18/XXXX.
Purple is Olive's roommate, they worked at a nearby gas station and the two lived in the same apartment and split the rent. They were part of the reason Olive stopped sleep depriving themselves but unfortunately they would be found dead in the apartment by Olive after a confrontation with Rose later on. Maybe if they had kept their promise they wouldn't have been a target...
Coral:
The unpaid intern at MIRA HQ, they remained an intern for over a year before they were killed in storage by Maroon after figuring out that Rose was an imposter. Their body would be thrown off the balcony and be found a few days later on the street, they died a nobody and were forgotten or people never even noticed them to begin with.
Olive:
A barista at an unnamed coffee stand at MIRA HQ below the research floor, they had been in a car accident that caused them to end up with the ability to see ghosts after being awake for over 24 hours, they typically attempt to help ghosts finish their unfinished business so they can rest although the last time they had done this was almost 2 years ago due to it risking their job but after the lights at HQ began to flicker frequently, a common thing ghosts attempt to get someone's attention and they decided a day or two without decent rest wouldn't hurt considering there were likely a couple ghosts at HQ they could help.

Ocs here use they/them but I might forget to put the right pronouns as these are my first nonbinary ocs and I typically am sleep deprived when posting so mistakes will happen.
