He snarled, grabbing for his lips the moment he did. As involuntarily as his condition had become, Cruz never fathomed that small canine quirks would work their way into his everyday behavior. At the very least he had a viable excuse this time, the cannon sounding for both of Sixâs tributes, an unnecessarily close shot of Thaliaâs lifeless face displayed on screen. The only comfort available as he reached out his powerless hands was the head of the couch he stumbled onto.
Having been so focused on his tributes, the arenaâs theme unveil was lost on the man. The overwhelming amount of blue and technological looking floor made him believe they were in some sort of video game, one of the old arcade classics, but he couldnât be sure. âSorry I let you down, kids,â he whispered to himself somberly.
Rosaline stood behind the couch, keeping her arms crossed as she watched the screen. Her tributes were still alive, but she didnât really care for either of them. Then again, she barely ever cared for anyone.
She was pulled out of her thoughts as the other mentor in the room suddenly snarled, making the woman frown. âWhat the hellâs your problem, Six?â She questioned him, not really bothering about his answer.
