Like our beloved Lace Harding, the mod team for RookLace Week is small but mighty.

Jerri (@d7kyoshi I she/they) Hey hey, I'm Jerri! Some people count sheep to fall asleep, meanwhile, I count dwarves. Scout Harding has had my adoration since the moment she graced our screens, and while Veilguard gave us more, I still find myself digging. I'm excited to get the Rooklace party started!

FAQ

How will the event work?

Leading up to the event, we will post a prompt survey, and then announce a finalised list of prompts. Each day will have multiple prompts for you to choose from, as well as a list of alternative prompts. There will be a countdown the week leading up to the event, plus some extra goodies in the meantime for you to look forward to! Post your fanwork on the respective day, and either tag us (@rooklaceweek) or use the hashtag #rooklaceweek2026 in your post so we can reblog it. You will also be able to add your fanwork to the Rooklace Week collection on ao3.

Do I need to follow the prompts?

No! You are also welcome to combine prompts for each day, use multiple prompts from the entire week in a single work, or interpret the prompts as you see fit. So long as it is a celebration of Rook x Harding, all is welcome.

What kind of works are accepted?

Any kind! Writing, art (traditional and digital), needlecraft, screenshots, original music, gifsets.

Is NSFW allowed?

So long as it is flagged and tagged appropriately on tumblr it is allowed. For visual media, use a SFW preview, and then either link offsite to the full work or include the NSFW fanwork below the fold (read more). For Ao3/writing submissions, include the appropriate tags.

Can I submit my Inquisitor/Lace fanwork?

As much as we love Inky/Harding in Inquisition, this event is specifically for the Rook x Lace pairing.

My submission was not reblogged!

The best way to make sure your submission is seen is to tag us, but if you think we missed your fanwork don't hesitate to reach out to one of the mods.

Do you accept late submissions?

Absolutely! Follow the same rules and we will reblog your submission as soon as we can.

How long will it take to reblog my work?

Event Rules

No harassment of participants or moderators for any reason

All works must feature Lace Harding and Rook as the focus of the submission. Do not overshadow them with other characters or pairings!

AI-generated content is strictly forbidden. This includes generating text, art, or graphics.

Do not disparage other characters or pairings in your submission

This event will not tolerate discrimination based on race, gender, sexuality, religion, etc.

NSFW / disturbing content is allowed if tagged appropriately. If the fanwork is not tagged, it will not be reposted. For visual media, use a SFW crop and either link to the full NSFW image or include it beneath the fold.
