I genuinely didn't think anything could out-do my first full day as a nurse, because that had to have been one of the worst days in the ER in my first few years as one, and yet, PSU, you have outdone yourselves... At least I won't find myself bored at this job.

It's cool. At least my sperm donor gave me some half-siblings that are pretty cool. But oh no, the kid's a teenager, I just didn't know about her or my brother until a month ago. She needed a bad influence in her life and that bloodline blessed her with me.

hey that's what matters. my mom adopted some pretty cool kids as well, so my siblings are pretty rad. oh damn, okay. that makes sense. well you know what, everyone needs a bad influence in their life. as long as it's not dangerous bad.

Yeah, people keep telling me to enjoy this phase because time flies and before I know it she’ll want to do things on her own and keep her personal life private. It’s a bit daunting to think that one day she’ll have a life I’m not a part of though. Honestly, I don’t know why I worry so much—I grew up with hardly any parental control myself and, aside from having half the world hating on me for my very amusing and constructive criticism, I turned out okay. Like, I’m still here and in one piece despite doing some pretty crazy stuff. God, if my mom cared about me she would’ve been pulling her hair out during my teen years. Good thing we barely saw each other after I left the womb.

why do you say that you won't be a part of her life at any point? no matter how old lydia gets i know that she's going to want me and her mother to be involved in whatever comes. i think that's why taking time with them when they're so young is important to let them know you're with them for the long haul -- the good, the bad. my mom didn't put the effort in until it was too late and therefore she has no part of this point of my life. see what i mean?

Auditions for Artists in Resonance, PSU's premiere a cappella group are going to take place this Tuesday from 7-9 in Rm 14 of the Music Building. Be prepared to sing a verse and a chorus of your favorite pop song, as well as sight read a vocal line within your range, and then be taught a four part arrangement that you'll have to perform on the spot. If you don't know what any of this means, don't bother auditioning.
