There is a bit of a story behind this sound collage that I want to share.

I received a message a few years ago from an artist here on Tumblr who asked if I was interested in making sounds of nature and white noise for her.This was for her exhibition which had nature as a theme.Sounds of a vibrant nature would end in white noise, clearly stating the final destruction of our beloved animals and nature.I thought it was a great idea so I sent a file to her.

Unfortunately,the whole project didn’t work out as she had limited space for her exhibition and sound or music wasn’t even allowed.But the whole idea kept lingering in my mind and I decided to make a new sound collage.

The final collage you can now listen to has been edited and I added more different sounds and the ticking of a clock to it.I am quite satisfied with the final result but also feel quite sad and depressed listening to it..

’26.6.28 上の禰宜道、若宮神社にて

小雨降る明け方、禰宜道を歩きました。2日前から相当強く降った雨の影響で、小川や側溝なんかも水かさが増して、斜面の土砂も少し流れ出た様子。それだけに辺りのモイスチャー度はたっぷりで、気温も高くなく心地よいです。
