It hurted Pidge to see Lance wanting Allura. But as long as he was happy, she was happy
When Lotor and Allura seemed to hitting it off, Pidge finally thought she didn’t have any competition anymore! She’d finally be able to be with him.
That all proved to be wrong when Lotor betrayed them. And she soon found Lance and Allura all cuddly with each other.
Her heart broke once more.
She stayed in her lion for days, crying. Knowing she lost her chance long ago. Heck, she may have never even had a chance. Why would someone like him want her?
Pidge soon recollected herself was met with her worried teammates, she insisted she was fine. Just missing home. But it was all a big lie that one person saw through.
Pidge promised herself she would make sure Lance was always happy, even if she wasn’t.
Pidge was honestly suprised when Allura asked her of all people to help shop for her date. Wasn’t there Veronica or someone else? With actual fashion Sense? And who wasn’t secretly in love with her fellow paladin but never told him because his hurt belonged to another.
Pidge reluctantly agreed, not really knowing how to feel about this. Allura was her best friend…and she wanted her to be happy too…but it still hurted.
Lance was confused on why Pidge kept ignoring him. Everytime he brought over the peanut cookies, she just shut the door. When he tried to hang out with her, she made up a lame excuse and tan away. This Wasn’t like the teasing and snarky pidge he knew. This didn’t feel right.
One night, while Pidge was on top of hill, Keith sat next to her
He told her he knew, she felt guilty for some reason.
He asked for how long, she answered for a while. She then broke into tears, he brought her into a hug. Whispering he knows it hurts, for he loved Allura.
Pidge was grateful to have someone to talk to that night. It helped
Over time, her heart started accepting the pain. She no longer cared.
She ditched Lance when ever she could, only conversing when needed.
Lance was honestly hurt that pidge kept doing this. Why was she ignoring him? Why did he feel so much pain?
Right before Allura died, She whispered something in Pidges ear. Only the small girl could here. She cried, hard.
“Take care of Lance for me, please.”
It wasnt the same when Allura died, the team fell apart. When Pidge tried to apologize to Lance, he snapped. He yelled, asking now why was she finally seeing him again. Yelling why didnt she be there when he needed her instead of now, casuing him more pain.
When he realized what he said, he tried to take it back. But it was to late. Pidge was running out of the room crying.
Her and her family moved far away, her father had gotten job. She didn’t bother saying goodbye.
“I’m sorry Allura, I’m sorry I couldn’t keep your promise.”
Its been 7 years, Pidge moves back on a business trip. Somehow, she bumped into Lance. Who was one of the people who she was working with.
She gulped and shook her head, she could do this, it was only for a little while. Its not like she still loved him, she was a child then.
