Wales frequently visits various heritage railways around the world, especially his own Talyllyn Railway.

Romano is actually a rather famous opera singer, known as "Il Cuore Ferito" (The Wounded Heart). He keeps it a secret because he wants to be famous without being Veneziano's brother having anything to do with it.

Romano is a much better opera singer than Veneziano is, but no one ever gives him a chance to prove it. They say it's because no one wants to hear his "tone deaf screeching," but Romano knows it's just because no one wants to admit he's better at something than Veneziano

If you ask Romano's favorite Christmas song, he'll answer with one of the religious ones, but he's lying. His favorite is Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer. It keeps him hoping that, if he can one day be useful, maybe he'll be loved

The best way to get Romano's attention or get him to do something is to call him Italy. He'll assume you mean Veneziano at first, but once he realizes you mean him, he is yours

Romano volunteers at an animal shelter. He particularly enjoys taking care of the "less adoptable" animals. It's one of the few things that makes him genuinely happy.

Part of the reason Romano hates Germany is because he's jealous. Prussia wanted him. He could have easily just dumped him on Austria, but he didn't. He chose to raise him because he loves him. And the closest Romano has ever had to someone who loves him and wants him around is someone who still would've rather had Veneziano.

Austria sings/raps along to this when he thinks he's alone.

"You're a Mean One, Mr. Grinch" is on my Romano playlist not because it fits him, but because it fits what everyone else thinks of him. It plays in his head any time he starts to hope someone might actually like him, reinforcing his belief that he'll never be loved.

Southern!Alfred is very proud of his cooking. The quickest way to start a fight with him is to either insult his food or say another country's is better. Especially England's.
