im bqck here because of fox mask and my new job suck but oh well
just some life update, after being a freelancer graphic designer for almost 2 years. Tomorrow, I'm going to start a new job. Just as a cashier but I'm so glad to finally start having stable income again. Freelance is great, but this year has been very rough with AI rising and fewer clients 😕. I'm so nervous to meet new people who will become my colleagues and boss. Never work as a cashier so this will be my new experience 😅

I've been struggling to write dialogue as a new writer. I write the dialogue in bullet points, but I don't know how to write it smoothly into the story. I want to contribute more to neil/sam ship. :((
currently having hard time assigning flowers to Sam, Lou and Neil. but i dont know anything about flowers at all.
just thinking of a new Sam/Neil fic idea which Lou's favourite flower motifs can be seen around their (Sam and Lou) house and sometimes embroided on Sam and Lou's clothes. But Neil starting to notice Sam likes to stop by and watch this flower every time they encounter one. So he thought that might be Sam's favourite flower. Another burnt egg, Neil sighed as he dumped the burnt food into the trash can. He never thought how much he's actually suck at cooking. This is the third time he tried making an omelette and ended up burning it.
It's almost the time for breakfast, and Lou will wake up soon. He thought he could cook for Lou and maybe impress her a little bit. Looks like they have to settle for bread and jam.
He shouldn't have lied to Sam about knowing how to cook. Neil volunteers to take care of Lou as Sam needs to go delivery important packages. Sam always cooks for Lou, and Neil thinks he can do the same even though he never steps into the kitchen.
He keep thinking about ordering food delivery, but the house in a more secluded place and porter rarely will come to this place.

The idea for the story is that Neil is terrible at cooking but lied to Sam about it. a silly AU (no death stranding event ft Neil x Sam and Higgs x Sam) based on this jp short story about a manager of a male idol group who used to be an underground crossdressing idol before quitting after his stage video being spread online and mocked by people.
- In this AU, Higgs and Neil are younger than Sam. When Sam in early 20s, Higgs and Neil were still minors and in high school.
- When Sam was young, he used to work as an underground idol (as in the j-idol style, just imagine young Sam aka Norman Reedus in bright colourful outfit singing idol song (*/∀＼*))
- Quit because he keeps getting harassed and mocks online. Now works as a manager for a famous male idol group duo (Higgs and Neil)
- Higgs and Neil are fans of idol Sam and always fighting for Sam's attention.
- Higgs and Neil beg Sam to crossdress again and sing his songs in front of them. So far, they have not successfully managed to make Sam agreed.
- Sam wish Higgs and Neil were really cool irl like their celebrity persona because he can't stand seeing this handsome men doing wotagei while watching his old stage performances.
- Higgs is famous among his fans for his unhinged and crazy behaviour. Most of his fans are masochist who like when Higgs being mean and insult them.
- Neil is more princelike. He has gentle personality and sweet singing voice. His gentle and soft personality when interacting with fans makes him famous among the general public.
- Neil and Higgs loves Sam and become a singers because of him in the first place.
- Higgs at first think crossdressing idol Sam is weird, but after watching multiple videos of Sam's idol performances, Higgs turned into a fan. He started watching after Sam already quit his idol job. Wish he discovered Sam early so he could support Sam during that time.
- Neil found idol!Sam by accident. He fell in love with Sam and always wanted to go to his live stage. But at the time, being a minor and a high schooler who lives far away, he can't easily go to watch Sam's performances. The day Sam quit, he cried so much and locked himself in his room.

- actor!Sam and singer!Higgs is in secret relationship. everyone thought they hate each other.
- Rumour of Sam and Higgs beefing was spread by tabloids and gossip blogs. General public thought the rumour is true.
- Suddenly video of Sam and Higgs making out appear in one of the gossip blogs.
- They finally admit to dating each others and no longer hiding it.
I'm sorry i'm dumping this on you but you're the only one I've seen liking Neil/Sam.
In DS2 we can see how affectionate Sam really is... so I can't help but think he'd like to be given flowers and hold hands, and have Neil hold him from behind while he's cooking (just like in the beginning of the game), gently swaying from side to side to the rhythm of 'raindrops falling on my head' playing in the background, with Lou playing with her bright colored toys somewhere close by 🫠 both Neil and Sam taking turns feeding Lou, until she starts getting sleepy and Sam puts her to bed while Neil finished cleaning the dishes, both tuck her in and kiss her little forehead goodnight... slow dancing in the kitchen area because I'm a hallmark romantic pos and I want these two to have Soft and Romantic for once in their lives 😭

Anyways, I looooveeee soft sam and neil 🫶 They deserve to live happily raising Lou together. When Neil first starts giving flowers, Sam will act like a tsundere, but Neil knows that Sam is just shy with him and always gets super happy when he receives flowers from Neil.

In the past (bfr meeting Lucy again), Neil used to get nightmares of the time during the war and the ghosts of the women who come to haunt him for what he did. He always wakes up in cold sweats, crying for all the dead.
Now, Neil still got nightmares of the war, the faces of all the corpses of women he smuggled in for bridge still appear to haunt him, seeing Lucy's death again and again. Neil still waking up in cold sweats with tears running down his face, and each times Sam will gently hold him, wipes his tears, kiss his forehead, eyes and mouth and tell Neil that it's in the past now, that the war has long been over, that Neil is safe with Sam and Lou in their little home. It will always calm Neil down, knowing Sam and Lou are right here by his side, and Neil no longer needs to be alone, just like how Sam used to be (bfr DS1).
The nightmares lessen over time, just like Sam, Neil able to move forward and no longer bound by the past. Neil still mourn for the dead but now he no longer haunt by the nightmares because he knew he got his Sam and Lou by his side, and they are safe and alive.
(I want to add more but my brain that handle the creative imagination side just stop pumping out ideas 😔)

Now I remember why I never attempted to write stories even it's a fanfiction. currently trying to write some neil x sam fic but it turn into neil regreting all his life choices and how he is a failure as a human being .... i dont even know how to insert the romance part. damn me and my limited english vocabulary and writing skill.
