I think Laika's always enjoyed firework shows. When he was growing up his uncle would always take him out to see them whenever they happened. He would always enjoy running around in whatever field they were in and then getting to sit down and watch the show. But when he got older both him and his uncle started being busier and they were unable to go to them together anymore. Laika never wanted to go alone so he just stopped going.

One day Searchman hears about a fireworks show happening for a holiday and he asks Laika if he has any interest in watching them. Laika declines, something about having too much work or how it's "not as fun without going with someone" (because he's too dense to realize searchman may have been asking so they could experience them together)

Searchman doesn't push further until the day of. It's pretty late and Laika is trying to finish a report before bed when Searchman asks him to join him at looking out the window (or mayhaps if they have a balcony they go there..) Laika, having forgotten all about the fireworks, is confused as hell, but Searchman doesn't ask him to do things so directly very often so he obliges

Searchman brings him over just as the show is starting and they're able to just watch from their dorm. Laika finally realizes why Searchman asked him to come stand with him (and maybe realize why he asked about the show in the first place) and they just. Watch. Every so often they glance at eachother and watch the look of awe in eachothers eyes at the pretty fireworks. They watch in silence the whole show, at some point they start leaning on eachother, but have no idea when that happened. Just that they were watching and then when it was over they were leaning on eachother like a couple (gee I wonder why)

But thanks to tomodachi life I'm making them again and it makes me so happy like YES!! I love SearchLais kids!! I love NetZans daughter!!!

I'll have to dig up my old sketchbooks cause I know for a fact I had made some for NetZan before and all I remember was I think I gave them twins? And one of them was named Del. Like the computer. But I can't remember if I made any for anyone else. I think it was when I was still very OC based with my interests

I think SearchLai VERY narrowly avoided getting kids back then because my friend and I started drifting apart right at the start of my MMBN phase, it was still mostly classic i was obsessed with at the time

I don't even know if I knew who searchlai even WAS yet now that I'm thinking about it (maybe my sketchbook will prove me wrong) I'll check tomorrow if I remember

But anyways i love the kids that have come out from tomodachi life no matter if theyre from a pairing I ship or not (looking at SaitoRoll's kids)
