Caught Beneath The Landslide

I fully unironically think we should completely eliminate job interviews and hire people directly from their experience/resume/application. Obviously, some safeguards should be in place (that are already in place) just in case the applicant is lying about something major or whatever. Background checks and references should be used. Which already are used. And probably a few more safeguards just in case someone applies and is lying about their identity or something. I'm a good employee and I have decent experience, but I don't give off a good first impression. I smile. I make my voice perkier/higher. I dress nicely. I have a firm handshake. I speak positively in interviews. I do my research on the company beforehand and show that I actually know a bit about them. I show enthusiasm for the position. The only problem is the essence of me in my first impression. Once someone gets to know me, everything is cool. The problem is that I don't have a chance for them to get to know me.
