Remembering in the books how Ron said something about Bill understanding him got me thinking how much Bill and Ron's relationship is always a favourite of mine, and I have all the types of headcanons about it.
They are so in sync in a surprising way that even Molly is taken by it multiple times through the little time they grew up together or when Bill drops by for a visit.
Even if they have opposite experiences, Bill, being the oldest grown adult, and Ron, the youngest sibling brother, are on opposite spectrums in terms of family dynamics. Ron views Bill as kinda (third parent/one of the adults in the household), so he respects him a lot and is less laid back around him than the rest of their brothers. And Bill views Ron as (my baby brother), so he adores him more openly than the rest of his young siblings, and feels fond of him, because for the longest time, Ron was just the baby, okay.
And it embarrasses Ron a little because Bill still treats him like a kid and has always been open about his emotions and not afraid to be more parental or maternal since he doesn't shy from being "feminine" in a way that extends to how he views his baby sibs. Bill just has this older sibling protectiveness, and I love it.
I also can imagine the twins teasing Ron about how shy he gets when Bill is there, because this is his cool older brother who is not always around, and he wants him to be proud of him or seek his praise and attention, and it's clear as hell when that happens. As Bill visits and is gushing about how proud he is of Ron for the smallest things.
