I’m currently in the process of wrapping up a lot of the things that should have been done a long time ago. Always astounding how the little details of a game can really, REALLY set it apart or at least increase the "quality feel" (for lack of better terms) from other games in both the same genre and just games in general. For example, I've recently added some small graphical effects in combination with sound effects that just emphasizes and improves the things that used to be a bit confusing from time to time. Things like an enemy that came too close now have an extra emphasis without it feeling like you're calling the player dumb. These kinds of little touches are what really sets apart games from the masses to me.
