Hi was watching Dev's punch-out gauntlet +the highlight of your punch out stream and I had a question. I want to preface this with saying I'm being genuine and sincere. Do you think one of the factor to there not being another Punch Out game is because of woke? Do you think a modern Nintendo would ship a game with characters like Great Tiger, Dragon Chan, Pizza Pasta, and Piston Hondo?

i probably wouldnt use the same verbiage LOL but i do think the landscape today wouldn't necessarily be too welcoming to the history of the stereotypes existing in the punch-out series. i think you could absolutely make another one today and be extremely relevant and faithful to the cultures that exist in the world while still celebrating what makes them unique and stand out... while also maybe taking the piss a bit. i dont know -- there are series like street fighter and tekken that arent really perfect (ESPECIALLY IF YOU LOOK BACK) but still seem to bring out the fun parts of different cultures around the world. there were some very popular articles written around the time that punch-out wii came out about how happy they were that their culture was represented in a way that made them feel seen, and some of the language and verbiage that was used for the character dialouge was really well thought out and in-touch (SOME OF THEM). the voice acting in those games are really special. but as a random fucking white queer with a blog i dont really think i ultimately have a say in what is and isnt considered culturally sensitive. i think you can make a punch-out game without being racist.

totalbiscuits biggest impact on earth is the twitch LUL emote. a fate i do not envy. what do you think, what if all you left behind was RobbydNERD

i think theres a little bit more to say about the legacy of John Bain aka TotalBiscuit, including how much he stood up for consumers in the video game market, but also his weirdly steadfast opinions on the wrong side of gamergate. it is kind of crazy how much his impact on the video game landscape has been sort of muddied and nullified because of how eclectic he winded up being, and now he is the guy you post when you want to signify you are laughing on the internet

i hope i leave behind anything close to the impact LUL had on the internet

its funny how much emphasis you put on respect ing yourself considering you refuse to show any amount of respect or decency to people you aren't friends with

im not sure if that was liars club? i dont think we ever finished that playthrough. i played cuphead on stream once over 6 years atp so im not too sure. was i funny in it

no because i can confidently say nobody had to hunt as many chanseys as i did. it does loop back on itself and being a statistical anomaly is still a rush that others will never feel
