Phoenix, AZ - September 29, 2021. What a great disappointment it was to arrive in an airport that requires you to wear your masks and putting signs up to maintain social distance. The honor system does not exist here in the United States, well it isn’t 100% fool proof. You have people who are against vaccination and say they are “vaxed.” You don’t get rewarded for bad behavior but in the United States we are so fearful of saying, “No, don’t do that because it’s wrong or inappropriate,” or say to someone or to the country that it is impolite. I say this because the government officials do not seem to care. They pretend by showing off on camera but what happens when the lights are off? So are they!! The airport was overcrowded. No one enforcing the mask as a few walked around with it either half on or completely off. People are seating right up, next to each other. No one is paying attention.
My questions are…Are the government elected officials placating to their constituents so they may get re-elected, looking the other way because corporations donate to them or are they not wanting to affect their stocks and mutual funds. Have we seen if they have interests in the covid vaccines? Perhaps the government retirement funds are invested. Either way, the entire lives of the citizens are inconsequential to them so long as they have enough votes to remain in office. We bail out corporations and many industries. When is it going to be the citizens’ turn?
