Mae, now in a room full of medical staff she didn’t know and without Casey beside her, began to grow frightened and panicked. “P-please… you have to… let him in here… I… need him…” she pleaded to the staff. They looked at her sadly, but still refused to allow him to see her, saying once again that it was protocol and he could not be allowed in.

“Please… you don’t understand! SHE NEEDS ME!!!” He says as his eyes go wide and are completely consumed by darkness of his pupils.. “SHE NEEDS ME!!!” He begins pushing the staff out of his way as he rushes towards the room that she was in.

Mae heard lots of commotion coming from a ways away, and the staff in the room with her began to look at each other worriedly. “What… what is that…?” she asked the staff. The staff said nothing, and instead a few of them left the room, while others began treatment on Mae. “N-no… not yet… What is… that noise…?” she begged them to tell her, but they still said nothing.

“C-Casey…?” She was shocked to see him in here, and being so violent. “Casey… what’s… wrong with… you…?” She saw his eyes, and was terrified.

“Mae…. This… hurts…” He tried to say as he took the shot instead as the doctors all slowly pulled out rifles… they were indeed cultists… “Ngh…. Mae… I’m sorry…”

Casey began to grunt and growl as black liquid covered his body and his eyes turned complete red, his height multiplied by 2 as he grabbed two of the cultists, and bashed the two of them together by the head.

Mae was terrified by this. Upon hearing Casey grunting, she had opened her eyes, but she was greeted with this… beast. There was no way that was her Casey. She began to speak, but decided against it, as the beast continued its rampage.

Casey bashed another cultist against the wall, causing the cultist’s chest to literally explode.

Mae, now horrified, hid her head under the pillow on the bed she had been placed on when she was first brought into the room. She hid her head and started crying. She couldn’t handle this. What was happening to her and those she loved? She kept her head covered as she cried, and as the beast raged on.

Soon the entire room was cleared… He reverted back to his normal self and slowly limped to the bed that Mae was on… “M-Mae… they’re gone… It’s alright now…”

Mae slowly bought her head out from under the pillow to see Casey looking down at her. He looked awful. “Casey… what’s wrong?” She was beginning to feel slightly better, enough to talk easier. “Why do you look so… hurt? What was that thing? It couldn’t have been…?” She couldn’t bring herself to finish the question.
