The hiring process has never been great, but in the past couple of years it’s hit rock bottom. Ghost jobs probably outnumber real jobs on job sites. Recruiters and HR use AI which throws out 90% of resumes before a real human being sees them. And most companies are hellbent on holding out for a unicorn candidate- meaning someone who already knows how to do the EXACT role without any training while also accepting entry level wages- instead of investing in new people.

of course the democrats should also never ever listen to the leftists because the leftists are far too weak and useless to actually swing an election in their favor. the left has no political capital in america, no power, and no ability to actually affect the outcome of the election, so we can ignore them.

and like i was saying the degenerate left stabbed us in the back, they're ubiquitous and all-powerful and that's why the democrats lost in 2024, because of the leftists swinging the election for donald trump and that's why we need to round up the leftists and put them in camps

but also, the leftists literally are nothing, they're nobody, it's just a couple teenagers who never touch grass so we can ignore them, they're totally powerless, don't worry about them.

People have been calling her a holocaust denier for denying the nazis targeted trans people. Obviously she thinks this because she doesn't believe that trans people really exist, so nothing would convince her, and more attention has been drawn to this by her trying to silence a critic calling her a holocaust denier using legal threats.

So should we call her a holocaust denier? Maybe not. By doing so, it makes it sound like she is denying the holocaust as a whole, (As nazis and people aligned with them are a fan of doing.) That is an easy statement for nazis and terfs to argue with.

However, I would like to propose an alternative. In 2022, German phd student and terf Marie-Luise Vollbrecht pulled the same stunt on twitter that JKR is pulling now, and was accused of "denying nazi crimes." For this, she filed a lawsuit against the people accusing her, and the court ruled against her. It was deemed that she was, in fact, denying nazi crimes.

JKR is a big fan of Motte and Bailey arguments, where you try to hide a hard to defend argument (That she hates trans people and is lobbying to make it illegal to be trans) inside an easy to defend argument, (That she is just trying to protect women and girls you guys, seriously.) She doesn't say what she means, so I think when criticizing her, we should say what we mean.

By calling her a holocaust denier publicly, you open yourself up to "Well she is not denying the holocaust happened, just that trans people were involved." which when it comes to terfs is an argument you can't win because they will never acknowledge trans people even exist as a meaningful political group, and by taking the very specific thing she is doing and generalizing it as holocaust denial, is that not also somewhat of a Motte and Bailey?

you are defying change for the sake of defying change. you are the parents who tell their trans kids "i respect that you consider yourself a girl/boy, but you're still my son/daughter."

If you're a longtime Spore enjoyer like myself, I'm sure you've seen these videos or others like them, where invisible limbs (either with vanilla glitches or from the Dark Injection mod) are utilized to make creatures that float above the ground, giving them the illusion that they're flying (or swimming).

But the most well-known, "tried and true" method has always felt a bit...

... janky.

This is achieved by attaching a single invisible limb to the front of the creature, which causes it to walk by hopping on that invisible leg. The single-legged walk cycle gives the appearance that the creature is flapping itself up and down, either flying with its wings or swimming by propelling its tail. The length and angle of the leg changes the stride, and in turn changes the speed of the "flight".

However, I'm not satisfied with my dragon being so floppy. It might work fine for some creatures, but the exaggerated animation is simply too exaggerated for my tastes.

So I've done some experimenting. The method I came up with a couple years ago isn't too different, but it has three feet instead of one.

This smoother motion is definitely an improvement, and it's what I use for most of my floaty creatures. Yet, I still wasn't satisfied with this dragon's flight. The tail still feels a bit too floppy, and it looks like it's leading with its chest rather than flying with its wings, as if it's being dragged along by something.

This design proved to be a winner! The wings look more like they're providing powered flight, and the floppiness level of the rear is more appropriate. The legs are a bit cumbersome, but since they're invisible limbs, they won't render when the creature is encountered in-game.

But as I was composing this post, I thought to myself...

can I make the wings truly flap?

The answer is yes, it can be done!

With another pair of invisible legs attached at the elbow joint of the wings, each with three feet, this dragon has truly taken flight! It certainly isn't perfect, but considering the capabilities and limits of Spore, I'd say it's pretty damn good.

The limb that creates the wing, the one which these new invisible legs are attached to, isn't just cosmetic--it's a fully functional wing limb from the Unshackled mod (check out my review of the mod here!). The wing limb provides the creature with the glide ability, complete with animation. Miraculously, even with these invisible legs attached, the wing limb animates exactly as it should. I really did not expect that.
