Regis looked up from the papers in front of him when the door opened, surprised to see Aulea there, looking at him. Turning his attention towards the clock in the room, he frowned when he saw the time.
"I apologise, dear. I will be there in just a moment, I simply need to get this done first," he knew he had a tendency to loose track of time, but the paperwork just kept piling up.

“I apologise, dear. I will be there in just a moment, I simply need to get this done first,” he knew he had a tendency to loose track of time, but the paperwork just kept piling up.
[ ♛ ] -- She sat patiently in the dining room waiting for Regis to join her . She was all too familiar with how this went , it often did the same for her -- paperwork [ [ s w a l l o w i n g ] ] you whole while people wait on you to simply smile in their direction .
One of the many curses of being royalty.
After some time , Aulea rose from her seat , “ Please , see to it that this is brought to his office ? ” She politely instructed the wait staff , “ I have a feeling that is where he may be for the remainder of the day . ”
With a little nod , she made her way to the very place she knew she would find him . Three [ [ l i g h t ] ] knocks and her crystal blue hues peered from around the door .
“ You do not need to worry , darling . I have seen that it be brought here . ”
She slipped into the room then closed the door with the tips of her fingers to prevent it from slamming . Then , she glided through the room over to his desk .
“ It surely feels as if that paperwork mountain only ever continues to grow by the day . ” She hummed , “ Soon , it shall become the only mountain you seen . ”
She was joking , but that was only because she [ [ d e a r l y ] ] hoped that that would not be the case .
