âNothing but I guess Iâm just wondering.â Logan shrugged his shoulder. âAint nothing wrong with wondering, right?â He turned to down his drink and order himself a new one. âTrust me, I aint no fan of being killed either but it happens when youâre in my line of work. Just somethinâ you learn to accept sooner or later.âÂ
âI didnât say that I changed.â He scoffed at the motion. âI just decided to do something different with the life I never even asked for.â Logan shook his head. âWell, everyoneâs different. Before Weapon X, I wouldâve gladly had settled down and had children somewhere in deep, deep Canada but now? Iâm not so sure about that.â

âDoes it make me a monster? Because I like doing this?â She asked him. She wasnât quite so sure anymore herself. She didnât see anything wrong with killing but everyone else did so what did that make her? Death doesnât discriminate and all that noise. âI donât know. Are you often so full of day dreams, wishes and hopes?â She laughed. She wasnât a cynic but she didnât fool herself into anything. After all, what would she want if not this? âOh, I am not scared of it. It isnât scary. It is what comes after. That is scary.â She went quiet for a moment as she took a sip of her drink, a chill running down her spine.
âWe never get the life we asked for, Logan. If we did, we would all be a happy bunch standing on the end of the world.â She humored as she looked over to him as he spoke about his time in Canada. âI agree. Canada of all places?â She poked fun at his ambition before she turned serious. âI donât know much about my life but I know I was always treated like something to be feared. Then I know, I think anyway, there was someone who I loved so much but when he wouldnât do what I could do, well...I canât really think of what happened. Maybe it was all a dream.â She reasoned with herself more than anything. âJust a screaming mimi. That is all I am.â
