PERSONALITY
Genevieve Fils-Aime, or Eve as she prefers to be called, is an enigmatic young woman. She can be described as a mix of cryptic and catty, often with a streak of playful flirting. She takes her job very seriously however, becoming solely dedicated to the scalpel when it comes time to perform a procedure. She has a hypnotic way of speaking that would almost be disarming were she not so often unsettling. But she can play the part of your trusted friend Eve if need be, her natural method of conversation is manipulation, as she is highly empathetic but holds little sympathy for others. She is terrified of true human connection due to the deaths of her loved ones and believes humanity as a whole to be weak and unimportant, including herself, and that mankind would be better as machine. A machine does not get sick, hungry, or cold. A machine does not bleed out in an alleyway as you beg passersby for help. A machine simply is.
BACKSTORY
Genevieve Fils-Aime was born on August 20, 2053, thirty years to the day after the AHQ disaster. She was born in Port-Au-Prince, Haiti as the youngest of five brothers. Her mother died giving birth to her, and her siblings were raised in extreme poverty. When she was about six, her father got a job in Night City to work on the Pacifica Restoration Project, they quickly moved to America, settling in Serenisands (Now known as Dogtown). However, only a year later, their father died in a construction accident. Alone, her older brothers did their best to support each other and protect the youngest among them. They joined the newly formed Voodoo Boys while Eve stayed at their homebase, often tinkering with cyberware and patching up wounds, gaining the necessary skills to become the prodigious ripperdoc she would one day be known as. But one by one her brothers died, at first through gang conflict and then to the Unification War (the later lead to the amputation and replacement of her right arm after being caught in the crossfire), and by eighteen she had no one left. The Voodoo Boys attempted to recruit her, leveraging her family and their past with the gang, but Eve refused. To her, safety and stability was more important than anything now, and all the Voodoo Boys had offered her brother was death. She would never be cold and hungry again, she swore it. Eve wandered the streets of Night City for many years, but she never returned to Pacifica, the fleeting happy memories mixed with the scent of ocean air were too much for her. Eventually, she fell in with Maelstrom, who honed her talents and welcomed her into their ideology. She became a ripperdoc for them and installed multiple pieces of cyberware on herself, but eventually she learned her body was not fully compatible with certain cyberware due to a rare nervous system condition, leading to her being unable to be as cybernetically enhanced as the rest of the gang. Despite this, she still had a positive reputation within the gang and was sought out often for her services, even if she is considered an outsider due to her condition.
(OPTIONAL) Her association with Maelstrom eventually lead to a clandestine meeting with Adam Smasher at Ebunike Docks three years later when she was twenty-one. Her nerve and skills impressed him enough that she was whisked away to meet Yorinobu Arasaka, whom she feared much more than the NC boogeyman due to his social status, but instead she was offered a job as a technician at Arasaka. Knowing the position was equally lucrative and dangerous, and Eve took it without a thought, so she would never be cold or hungry again.
MISCELLANEOUS
Eve is very found of cats and generally has more sympathy for animals than people. She cares for a stray cat colony living near her ripperdoc clinic in Northside.
Eve is transgender and physically transitioned while working with Maelstrom, their resources and support were part of why she fell into their violent transhumanist ideology. She is also bisexual.
When she joins Arasaka, she becomes a loyal supporter of Yorinobu’s Taka Faction, although she is often outcasted by those at the company due to her social status and Pacifica origins.
Her condition is similar to Multiple Sclerosis (inspired by this in-game news segment) and affects her nervous system, especially her ocular nerves, impeding cyberware function.
If she were a character in game, her quests would be titled after songs from the bands “She Wants Revenge” and “Nine Inch Nails”.
Eve is fond of motorcycles and often enjoys riding around the docks at dusk.
She is about 5’5 (165cm).
Her tarot card is Death.
