How did Blue Jay Wally and Raven Wally meet?

âabcâ whisper, soft voice
Sunlight streamed through as the gentle breeze made the treetops sway. The rustling leaves echoed like natureâs own music.
Raven Wally walked leisurely along the grassy path. On his shoulder, a tiny bird named Berry tilted its head, chirping cheerfully.
Raven smiled, lifting his face to the sky.
//Hmm⌠The sky is beautiful today, isnât it, Berry? I think we should go a bit fartherâwho knows, we might find something intereâ//
But before he could finish, a swirling portal suddenly appeared. Raven startled, stepping back, but before he could react, a powerful pull dragged both him and Berry inside.
//Huh!? Waitâ Wahhh!!!//
His scream was swallowed by the portal.
Raven hit the hard ground. A sharp pain ran up his spine, forcing out a groan. Berry quickly flew in circles above him, chirping anxiously.
He pushed himself up, holding his head. //Ugh⌠that hurts. BerryâŚ? Thank goodness, youâre still here.//
He glanced around. An unfamiliar landscape stretched before him, unlike any place he had seen.
//Wait⌠where is this!? Where am I!?//
Berry responded with hurried chirps, as if warning him to be cautious.
Just as Raven was about to step forward, a low, cold voice rang out behind him.
//Donât move. Hands up. Not a step further.//
His body froze. A chill ran down his spine as he felt cold steel at his neck.
//Who are you to trespass on this land? State your purpose.//
Raven swallowed hard, his heart pounding wildly. He raised both hands in surrender.
//W-wait! Calm down! I-I mean no harm, I swear!//
The sharp gaze flickered, the voice still firm and wary.
//How can I believe you?//
At that tense moment, Berry darted forward, chirping furiously. The little bird swooped at the swordsman, pecking with its tiny beak.
//Chirp! Chirp chirp chirp!!!//
//Ouch! Damn bird, where did you come from!?// He grimaced, stepping back, trying to swat Berry away.
//Wait! Donât hurt him!!//
Ravenâs eyes widened in panic as he shouted, quickly shielding Berry with his body.
//Itâs okay, Berry. Iâm here to protect you.//
The man paused, staring at Raven for a long moment. He frowned, then slowly lowered his blade, his voice less hostile.
//âŚThat bird belongs to you?//
Raven nodded slightly //Yes⌠heâs my friend. His name is Berry.//
The man fell silent for a few seconds, then sheathed his sword. Sunlight broke through the leaves, letting Raven see his face more clearly.
Out of nowhere, another bird similar to Berry appeared, landing neatly on the manâs shoulder. It tilted its head, bright eyes curiously watching Raven and Berry.
Berry froze mid-air, then cautiously flew closer. The new bird responded with a small flap.
Berry: Chirp chirp chirp!
??: Chirp chirp? Chirp chirp!
The two birds circled each other before landing on the ground, tilting their heads. Suddenly, the new bird tapped its wing gently against Berryâs.
Berry flinched slightly, but soon chirped back, as if agreeing to be friends.
//Oh, look at that. Seems Berry just made a new friend. Arenât they getting along well?// He watched the two birds closely.
The man glanced over, his gaze softening.
//âŚMy Cookie seems to like your Berry quite a lot.//
He stepped forward, still watchful but less tense. //Whatâs your name?//
//Huh!? Ah, Iâm Wally Darling, also called Raven Wallyâbut you can call me Raven.//
The man froze for a moment, eyes widening in surprise.
//Raven⌠Wally?// He tilted his head slightly.
//Uh⌠is something wrong?//
//I am also Wally. Blue Jay Wally.//
//What!? So youâre another version of Wally too!?//
Blue Jay said nothing at first, studying him carefully before speaking.
//Perhaps⌠You do look similar to me. Just with a few differences andâ// He looked Raven up and down.
//Youâre some kind of raven, arenât you?//
//Where did you come from?//
//Well⌠I remember just being in my world, then suddenly a portal appeared and pulled me and my friend here.// He pointed at Berry.
//And now I donât know how to get backâŚ//
Blue Jay remained silent. His eyes showed less suspicion now, replaced by curiosity.
//Alright. You donât seem like a bad person. And⌠itâs rather interesting to meet someone who looks so much like me.//
Raven let out a small sigh of relief, the earlier tension easing away. Berry perched back on his shoulder, nuzzling him comfortingly. Cookie returned to Blue Jayâs side but kept its gaze fixed on Berry with fascination.
Turning away //Follow me. Since youâve just arrived, this place isnât safe for wanderers like you.//
//For now, you and that little bird can stay with me.//
Blinking in surprise //R-really? Wonât I be bothering you?//
//Itâs fine. I live alone anyway. Having company isnât so bad.//
âWait⌠he lives alone? He must be lonelyâŚâ
//Hurry up. Itâll be dark soon.//
//Ha⌠Youâre too slow.// He chuckled softly.
