So you  have stumbled upon my profile on Tumblr! If this is your first time here, welcome welcome! In most spaces I go by Ril, I’m 20 years old and my pronouns are he/they(questioning), plus I am autistic (an aspie). What I mainly post are occasional thought pieces, album reviews which are more recent, and sometimes promote videos from my, youtube channel, but all of that is buried under reposts. If it isn’t obvious already I love Chisa Yukizome so much with all my heart.

I’m open to making friends, my DMs are always open so hop and chime in if you want. I have a hard time making friends here already so I’m putting this out there to make things easier.

This was back when my account was Chihiro themed, but what I refer to Chihiro as varies depending on the situation/conversation. I normally refer to them as a boy(he/him), but I will always be open to refer to him as different pronouns if the other person/people in a conversation prefers, and to avoid confusion.

PERSONAL INTERESTS

When it comes to interests there’s a lot

For starters, my main interest in anime is....kinda varied. I Danganronpa 3, Sailor Moon, and Haikyuu are probably my favorites. Currently watching RWBY if that counts, and I have some other stuff on the watchlist such as Fairy Tail, 80s Urusei Yatsura and some Pretty Cure Seasons. But as it stands, some of my favorite characters currently are

With Video games it varies. I mostly play retro platformers like Sonic and Mega Man, though I’ll also play some First Person games like Minecraft, Roblox, Team Fortress 2, and of course Danganronpa!. Occasionally I’ll also play some rhythm games, like Clone Hero or Project DIVA Megamix+, but that’s about it.

Now music, oh boy music. I listen to a lot. As it stands currently my favorite bands are X JAPAN and Ghost, but there's other stuff I listen to.

Jazz(Hard Bop, Cool Jazz and Fusion),

Rock(some rockabilly, surf, garage rock, power pop, and some good hard rock),

Metal([first wave] black metal, thrash metal, traditional heavy metal, and Japanese Speed/power metal)

Punk(previously mentioned Garage Rock, but also 80s Hardcore and some Crossover Thrash)

and Japanese music, Currently attempting to get into old school Japanese Metal/Hard Rock from the 80s and 90s, but I also like Popular Music mostly from the 1960s-1980s(Kayokyoku, Group Sounds, New Music, And City Pop),

Electronic Music, but I haven’t explored outside of Yellow Magic Orchestra and Aphex Twin. Though Recently I've been getting into Acid House and Techno music. Video game music if that counts.

Having heard this album enough times, I have come to this conclusion: Do I think it's their best on a personal opinion? No. Do I think it's their best from an artistic/objective viewpoint? Ehh maybe, that or Meliora.

This is perhaps the most theatrical album of Ghost's catalouge, especially the hard swings of Jiggolo and Idolatrine, the bombastic percussion of the title track, Per Aspera, Secular Haze, Year Zero, etc etc. And boyyyy the choirs especially are cranked a whole lot more to give the album that classical edge, like on Year Zero, Depth's of Satan's Eyes, and Monstrance Clock. We Even get a 1-2 punch sound shift in Ghuleh/Zombie Queen, the soft piano ballad first half before cranking into Psychedelic Surf Rock. There are times where I can hear the Ghost that would become a mainstream hit, like in the title track's guitar solo and the synths in aforementioned Idolatrine. And the lyrics throughout the album reflect this: The Anti-Christ's earth shattering rise in power following Genesis from last album, and how humanity is taking to it. It might not be my favorite album in the Ghost catalog, but by God- no by Satan, they were all the better for it, as they would later on improve and you could say even perfect this sound on Meliora and thensome.

Boy do the fans love them some Papa II, no joke on that one.
