Kat: OMG Char! This drink cost me soo much! But it’s soooo good! I mean its only my second one. I'm going to go brook, But I want one mooore!

Kat: I’m gonna get a drink do you want me to order on for you too?

Charlie: No it's fine.

Kat walked toward the bar and left Charlie alone. She started to look around her surroundings in the club and noticed a familiar face at the bar.

Charlie: This seems like a fancy place.

Kat: Relax Char, you look gorgeous. You don't have to worry and I’m sure there are going to be many handsome guys in here too!

Russell: Hey dude, why are you so mopey tonight?

Riordan: *sighs* Nothing I just had a feeling about something today and I was wrong about it, but it still does not feel right.

Russell: Nooo! Serious Rio? are you still thinking about her, a man like you can get however you want, why get stuck on a girl you meet at a small pub ONE time?

Riordan: You don’t get it she was special I have never met someone like her.

Charlie’s weird life. Part 27

How could he not recognize me? do I really look that different dolled up? It was the only thing on Charlie's mind right now. 

Kat: Not to be that kind of person but, you sure do find the most boring bars Char...

Charlie: Shut up Kat, you said that we were going to go out but never were and this is closer to where I live so it's not a long walk home.

Charlie had her reasons for choosing this bar, it was the first place she met Riord... Mr. Kincaid so if he would come she could explain herself and put that mess of a night behind her and move on.

Kat: But this place is practically dead, I mean it's only us here Charlie.

Charlie: *sigh* fine you chose, besides I only know this bar.

Kat: Great! Oh, I Know a club we can try to get into it’s worth a shot.

Charlie’s weird life. Part 26

She could not turn around, frozen like a stone was the best way to describe how Charlie was feeling right at that moment. What should I do? What should I say? Memories from three weeks ago came up again.

Charlie: No sir I think you are mistaking me for someone else, I'm sorry.

Her first instinct after saying the words she had saved all evening for just this moment was to walk out and so she did. Riordan was now all alone and he sat down in his seat again.

Charlie's weird life. Part 25

Throughout the whole meeting, was Charlie ready for the unwanted question but it never came. The only things that came up were salary and work schedule. And so Charlie relaxed and made the conclusion that he did not remember her.  He was also hammered that night, so I can't blame him. The two of them stood up and were ready to say goodbye when the meeting was finally over.

Riordan: It was nice meeting you Sloan, I’m looking forward to working with you.

He shook her hand while giving her a pat on the shoulder.

Charlie: The pleasure is mutual Mr. Kincaid.

She gave him a smile and let go of his hand and turned around walking towards the door. But when she was almost by the door she heard him clear his throat and took a deep breath.

Riordan: A weird question to ask miss Sloan, but have we met before?

Charlie's weird life. Part 24

Charlie looked around in the office while Kincaid was searching for something on the desk. She found a small desk tag with the name "Riordan Kincaid" she read in her head. Mr. Kincaid or Riordan started to clear his throat and her attention was on him again and her anxiety was back.

Mr. Kincaid: You will have to excuse me Miss I seem to have gotten the wrong file from Hayes. For some reason.

Charlie: Oh is that going to be a problem? Is it not in your database? 

Mr. Kincaid: No, It hasn't been put in yet.  But I don't think it will be a problem miss...?

Shit, what am I going to say? I don't remember if I have told him my name or not. But it seems he hasn't realized that we have met before.

Charlie: My last name is Sloan if that is enough otherwise my full name is...

Please don't let me continue, please! But he cuts her off before she could continue.

Mr. Kincaid: We usually only call each other by surnames so it will do just fine Miss Sloan.

Charlie’s weird life. Part 23

Charlie: Well here goes nothing...

 She knocked on the big white door. Charlie's thoughts were spinning around in her head as she waited for someone to answer inside. Is he going to recognize her? She hoped not. She doesn't want to make this job complicated like the last job she had. But a strange part of her wanted him to recognize. But a strange part of her wanted him to look at her with those eyes like he had at the bar had. What a stupid thought I barely know him.

Mr. Kincaid: Come in.

Her heart started to beat harder and harder, quicker and quicker. Charlie took a deep breath and took the handle to the door and pushed it open.  She started to walk confidently into the room, but it slowly slipped away from her the longer into the room Charlie had gone.

Mr. Kincaid: Take a seat.

Charlie’s weird life. Part 22

Its Thursday today Friday tomorrow which means only one day left until the weekend and then I do not need to hide from Mr. Kincaid *sigh* until Monday.

“Charlie!” kat screamed

“Why you do not need to yell I stand 6 feet away from you and what is it?

“I have a message for you Mr. Kincaid wants to meet you now he has apparently been to busy until now.”

“What's with you, Charlie? I have never seen you walk out so fast after a meeting before.” 

Charlie didn't know how to answer that really so she started to just ramble. “I uhm.. just got overwhelmed by all the people in the room... Yeah, soo... that's all.” Wow, great answer Charlie, she thought.

Kat just looked at her and started laughing “Suuure you say that but I don't believe it, you have to tell me on Friday.”

“On Friday?”

“Yeah, we are going out that evening. I have decided that now so no return aaand I’m going to lurk out whatever you are running away from answering.

Charlie’s Weird life. Part 20

“Always last ugh” Charlie whispered as she walked through the glass doors. Only one chair was free left and in the corner “great...”

She looked towards the center of the room and saw Hayes and the new boss how she had only heard his last name, Kincaid. Kincaid... why does it sound so familiar?

“Everybody can I get your attention, today I will step down as the substitute for  Mr. Kincaid and he will go back to his original post.” Charlie had never heard Hayes sound so friendly and calm in the 2 weeks she had worked there.

“Thank you, Miss Hayes, for opening the meeting.” 

That voice! It cant be!
