Riley Coyote

Driving at night in the rain on the interstate to go meet friends for camping. Suddenly we were slammed with an insane wall of completely blinding heavy rain and wind, car hydroplaned and slid into the opposite lanes of traffic. We got hit nearly head-on by another car. I was in the passenger seat closest to the point of impact. I am pretty sure that my partner's handling of the car when it went out of control saved our lives. If things had even been minutely different, we would all be fucking dead. Hell, in the moment, I was pretty sure we WERE going to die. Pretty sure this was the most terrifying experience of my life. My mother hit her head and was bleeding and unconscious, and she didn't remember things when she woke up. There was a 200 ft cliff on the side of the road where our car ended up, just seconds further down the road. Ultimately, everyone was relatively ok. All things considered, we got VERY insanely lucky.

Damage to the car. Blue Matthew (our car) was a good one, and kept us as safe as she could in the accident. She did a good job. :(
