This week on āthey have no idea theyāre together but everyone else doesā:
weāre at one of the pcās hometownās to save their home from destruction (theyāre from a different timeline where it already happened and the him in this timeline died) and his dad was like āif they challenge us to combat it will be a fair, honorable fight. Even numbersā (three v three, there are five party members and three npc tagalongs in our party) so we were debating who would fight and as one may recall, dense and denser (my pc and her definitely āplatonicā partner) have a magic item that lets them share damage. So it comes up and dad asks about it and gets the rundown and heās like āno, that wouldnāt be honorableā (if one is sitting out of the fight tanking damage for the other) and the pc whose home weāre in goes āitās similar in meaning to them to our matrimony ringsā and his dad just nods in understanding and weāre just looking at each other (figuratively) like āhuh?ā. Theyāre so oblivious, went right over their heads, no acknowledgment of it from either of us lmao
I think itās very interesting that the one change the anime made from the manga (aside from pushing back the meeting of ghost to s2 if we ever get one) is that when phos is trying to talk to the lunarians, cinnabar saves them instead of amethyst. It fits the narrative just as well and is such a subtle difference but itās just interesting the shift from the alternating cycle of ame and phos trying to protect each other to the repetition of cinnabarās inability to let phos go despite being unwilling to hold onto them in fear of hurting them.

also that rhythm game was kinda sick. It was a 10ft by 10ft grid of circular/octagonal (they light was circular but the pressure plates slotted together more neatly like a many sided polygon than a true circle) led pressure plates (like 6 inches wide) that lit up in order and started dim (indicating to go there next) and got brighter as the time to hit the beat went down. There was no penalty for misstepping (huge space to move and they could be all the way across) but you would lose points if you didnāt make it to the next light on beat. It was crazy fun and I slayed. I absolutely could not move like that irl anymore but in my prime, man I would have killed it

When I play a game, whether it be a new game, one Iāve been playing for a long time, or one Iāve played before but have come back to after a while away, one of the things that proves to me that I love a game is that I will dream about the game.
Sometimes I am playing the game in my dream, on a console of some sort. sometimes I am in the game, experiencing it first person but still aware that I am playing a game. Sometimes I am part of the game, experiencing everything as if it were real.
this, for me, is a good benchmark, along with wanting to play only that for 40+ hours in a week, that I love a game. Some of these games include minecraft, potioncraft, core keeper, deltarune, and most recently Omori, which Iāve been playing with some of my friends and my partner.
so imagine my confusion when i wake up this morning, thinking back on my dream before it can fade, rolling over in my brain this game that I was dreaming about playing (first person, but still playing the game not part of it) only to realize, this game doesnāt exist. Thereās nothing quite like it that I know of (not that a similar game couldnāt exist, just that I havenāt seen it before), and the name isnāt attached to anything as far as I could find when I fully woke up and went to look.
did I have a toby fox deltarune style fever dream and now have to dedicate my life to making this game?? I know nothing about game development. Iāve contemplated it before but never really had any good ideas. Iām almost 30 and disabled, idk if I have the drive for that. But should I try anyway?

I dreamt about it againā¦ itās been almost exactly a monthā¦ but it has been an exact lunar monthā¦ i first dreamt of it on the new moon and now, the next new moon, Iām dreaming of it again. Through fitful sleep, i watched someone else play the game, standing by with commentary about the puzzles they were solving. And i awoke, dazed, and scribbled down the first concept art for the game, the worst concept art in existence, of the puzzles before i could forget. And now, with barely any sleep had despite my efforts, Iām wide awake
