Abxy

Abxy, amxn, or amxle is a combination of aboy and bxy. It is a gender label on the agender spectrum that describes a bxy (someone who is both male and agender) who prefers or doesn't mind being seen as a boy, man, male, or otherwise masculine-presenting being.

Subsystem types

Contained subsystem

A subsystem which represents itself as an "alter having alters" or a "system member having a system".

Bordered subsystem

A subsystem which represents itself as a grouping of system members. Often has higher dissociative barriers and amnesia when switching between this subsystem and other subsystems.

Disconnected subsystem

A subsystem which seems very disconnected and cut off from other subsystems. May house traumaholders.

Base subsystem / "Supersystem"

A subsystem which seems to act as the "base" for other subsystems. May have links to all subsystems, contain the host/s, or contain the most system members.

Floating subsystem

A subsystem which does not remain stationary, barriers and connections to other subsystems frequently rise and fall. May contain floaters.

A system member who can freely traverse the limits of subsystems. Often gatekeepers, but not always.

Welcomer

A system member tasked with introducing new system members to the system after splitting or waking from dormancy.
