rick wouldn’t be able to say truthfully that he didn’t have his own nervous energy now surrounding his own upcoming performance but he was doing the best to show none of it, after all he was here with vivi backstage for the exact opposite reason. “ no you look super cool, chica, ” he joked but with a comforting smile. “ you saved me having to stand out in the sun all day, you know i’m front row for this no matter, ” he added, trying to move the conversation into the positive. 

rick was still coming down from his post-concert high, adrenaline pumping through his system as he hauled bags of ice from his truck into the house. almost everything had been set up now, the guests were expected any minute and rick couldn’t wait to let all his energy out with an old fashioned house party. “ you gonna give me a hand? ” he shouted out as he tried unsuccessful to turn the back door handle while still holding onto the ice. after seeing that him and his old friend killian were playing the same night, there was no way they were going to celebrate separately, it was going to be the biggest celebration of the weekend, that’s for sure. 

rick pulled up from crossing the road to speak to them but as soon as she had entered the restaurant he signalled over one of the paparazzi he knew. it was no secret that celebrities often had their favorite members of the paps, usually those not looking to wind up a star for a photo but knowing that if they played it cool they’d often get called for exclusives. “ you’ll get the shot on the way out if you get the rest gone, ” he said in hushed tones, before patting him on the shoulder and following vivi into the restaurant. “ don’t worry about, i’m glad we could do this, ” he said with a mellow shrug, pulling out her chair for her before sitting down himself. “ and of course not, it’s on me. ”

after the announcement of rick rojas headlining friday night of the upcoming wayfinder festival, fans have been waiting for any glimpses into what the r&b star has in store. through an image posted to instagram late last night, rick gave the first indication that this is not a performance to be missed. though the image gives little away, an equally allusive caption hints at what fans have been waiting for - finally after months of waiting it looks as if rick will be giving us something from his first full length project. an inside source has hinted that we will not just be getting a taste of the album but that it could even be dropping in full this week! i don’t know about you but we will be checking itunes every second! turning around slightly confused, rick saw that the dull thud on the back of his legs had been courtesy of a small stuffed animal. he bent down to pick it up, “ don’t worry about, ” he replied, hand it back over to the lady behind him. the look that followed was one he had seen too many times, one that had been exciting once but now meant he couldn’t even go grocery shopping or walk down the street without taking a selfie or signing an autograph. “ thank you, i really appreciate that, ” he replied, the smile on his face showing no sign that he really wished she hadn’t recognised him. 

rick looked over his shoulder seeing the paparazzi, he was almost at a place where he could completely blank them out, the clicking of the cameras passing through his head like a dull murmur. when he did notice them, it couldn’t be more annoying, especially when he knew these shots were going for a couple dollars max but they were willing to ruin their lunch for it. “ i’ll do it, ” he sighed, “ go check on the table, ” he added.

rick rolled his eyes slightly when he saw her hesitate, it wasn’t an exaggeration to say that they were mere seconds away from being mulled by this crowd and she was weighing her options. once she had taken his hand, he set off down the block, initially followed by no-one given the suddenness of their departure. it seemed they got away just in time, her arrival making the whole ruse quickly dissolve meaning that the paparazzi were just about to turn up. they dipped around the corner just as their vans turned up and rick pulled open the back door of car quickly for imelda before any of the fans could catch up either, running around the car to get in the other side straight after.

rick rojas and rocío pantoja rojas continued to be the definition of #siblinggoals in this shot posted to his instagram last night. the r&b singer and his younger sister have both taken the music industry by storm in recent years and, at the same time, continue to prove that blood really is thicker than water. he even revealed in an interview earlier in the .year that they still live together with their mother. we need to know what she’s sneaking in the water to have not one but two successful kids! // @viralgossip
