One of my current favorites, Shinsei kamattechan, have released a new MV. They’re known for taking a subversive approach against indie pop; almost constantly disrupting traditional takes on pop music’s core values. We’ve seen this a lot though with highly appreciated groups like BiS, BABYMETAL, and Kyary Pamyu Pamyu; all of which have gotten praise for their unorthodox techniques.

Shinsei Kamattechan use the leverage that veteran artists provided to further emphasize this against-the-grain sense of thinking by inciting thought and awareness through unsettling and eye-opening lyrics wired under heavy distortion and alteration. Noko (vocals/guitar), are known for their anomalous digital pitch-shifting vocal effects which give off a sense of androgyny that I totally dig. This group currently has 6 amazing albums out, and I highly advise you listen to them.

"Shinjuku Station" (新宿駅) is from their 4th major label album, "英雄syndrome". Hero Syndrome stands stagnant with me at the moment but it’s growing on me. Love this video and Love this band.
