Thought I'd show a friend my latest patchwork skirt and maybe take some photos while I was at her studio. Twirling ensued. Also giggling. A lot of giggling.

Latest half Shetland hap... an infinitely better use for the snuggly soft yarn than the kilt hose it was originally destined to become! 😊 It's like a great big snuggly cuddle to wear.

40g of Dorset Horn spun super fine and fluffy! 😊 Unfortunately also means a skeining session in my near future, as that was my last empty bobbin...

Working my way through the Fibre Hut sample box of British breeds and getting a lovely soft, fluffy laceweight yarn from this blue-faced Leicester.

Tucking up warm and dry indoors with the rhythmic sound of a spinning wheel has been a very soothing counterpoint to the background noise of General Election stress today. Modified my technique to produce a lovely fine laceweight yarn from 40g of Swaledale which should knit up with a lovely soft halo.

This morning's productivity is entirely attributable to the fact my spinning wheel fell on me... Apparently craft projects literally have to throw themselves at me to take priority at the moment!

Finally finished sleying the latest warp! Oh gods, in the wrong frame of mind it is the most tedious process! Worse: this loom feels so tiny after my Vancouver one, I don't even have the satisfaction of an "I have sleyed the beast" pun at the end of it! Onwards...

First solid sewing session in a good long while. If I'm honest, this would probably go a lot faster without background salsa music!

Dylon were somewhat optimistic with their quantity estimates, but I think these are going to turn out nicely when I get twice the recommended amount of dye to finish the job!

First ever go at a knitted hat! Made in a beautifully soft highland wool/alpaca blend by Rowan, following a lovely Ravelry pattern called Autumn in Garrison.

Loomstate cloth, fresh off the loom and ready for waulking.

Loosely working some herringbone twill from handspun wool. Wont look like much until it's waulked, but for now it is just SO good to be weaving again!

Warp threads all measured out, ready for the weekend's plan of dressing the loom... I hadn't banked on the common "problem" of life in Edinburgh: so many lovely things on, I don't have a suitable block of time to get to this!
