As if nothing in the world was changing forever. she replayed the last weeks over and over in her mind. her own loyals pushing the barrel of a gun into her face with no warning, a coup played out insultingly casually. The princesses kicking and screaming did nothing, she was beaten and thrown away. All she could think to do now is lie to herself. to eat the scraps and hide away while the world ignores her. Scratches into the wall count the time since everything changed and paint beautiful fantasy. All 5 of her nails would file down each week. The doll in her grasp kept yanking her back to her own reality. She was never really a princess, just another ploy to make reason of it all. some days a voice will echo through the tube in the mornings, and the princess smiles again.
