- The party is traveling to confront the cult where one of the party members (we’ll call him A) grew up and escaped from.

- They are going to be captured at said cult, and prepared to be sacrifices for a ritual, led by A’s brother (who is evil), and his sister (who he thought was alive) is also one of the sacrifice.

- Unbeknownst to them, one of the other party members’ (we’ll call her B) sister (who is like 15) was ALSO recently taken by the cult, and is being prepared as a sacrifice

- The party members & B’s sister will have a few moments to interact in the cult’s prison before the actual ritual.

That’s the context. The dilemma is this (and I’m probably being a bit dramatic about how “evil” this is):

Should the prisoners have had their hair cut/shaved by the cult?

One of my favorite (and heart wrenching) tropes in media is when a character is taken prisoner and their hair is shaved. It feels like such a simple, yet effective way to display an immediate physical consequence that doesn’t go away quickly, even if they survive said imprisonment

It would be extra sad, I think, seeing as the sister is young and that gives me extra ability to pull on the heartstrings of my friends 😋
