Do you have a favorite plant?
They raised a brow in confusion. "In general, or for eating?"
The Virtue stayed silent for a moment, eyes closed out of contemplation.
"Succulents are nice, I must admit," they replied after a moment.
“Finding you~? Ohhhh I just tend to….wander~” The Sin’s gaze went to the broom, watching how the Virtue swept back and forth… “Wanderlust, you know~? Some days I just….wander around~ Try to figure out why wandering feels so nice~”
He paused to yawn, hand moving to brush back his hair. “I guess today I stumbled upon you~ Funny, right~?”
"…Wanderlust?" Patience echoed. “Interesting...”
It's rather fitting, considering his name, they thought.
They thought for a moment, trying to keep up the conversation. "Well… I had wandered around for some time as well— I wouldn't really call it wanderlust, though…"
Soul searching, maybe, the Virtue thought, finishing their sentence.

"Really~?" Lust asked, flashing a quick grin. Interesting. His appearance was interesting to this one. "Why, thank you very much~"
At the mention of Patience’s home, the Sin shrugged. "Ohhhh no~ Don’t worry about that, dear Patience~ I don’t mind it at all~”
"Ah, you're welcome," the Virtue said as they stared at the Sin's teeth for a few moments before berating themself for letting their gaze linger for so long.
Another pause. "Alright… okay," they said, sweeping the broom in their hands absentmindedly, trying to think up of something else to talk about.
"How did you wind up here, anyway?" they asked finally before adding belatedly, "Wind up finding me?"
"Ohhhh I see~….." As Patience spoke, Lust caught a glimpse within their mouth. Teeth. Tongue. Was there a glow in there, too? He wasn’t certain…
"Hmmm~?" The Sin caught the look directed for his eyes. "Ohhh~ Sorry, I’ve just never met someone with a physical form as unique as yours~ I do apologize, I’m simply…curious~"
"Well, um. Your appearance is quite interesting as well," they said awkwardly, remembering the Sin's sharp teeth.
They thought for a moment. "Well, I would offer you to come in, but it's rather sparse," they said. "My home, that is."
The audible cracking of Patience’s neck slightly startled Lust. He shifted upright, eyes following the glowing cracks of the new being’s skin. "….So very interesting~"
Lust watched the Virtue’s lips move into a grin in an attempt to see within their mouth. "How did you get it out anyway~?"
"Actually, I think that my walking jostled it out," Patience replied, the glow intensifying slightly out of embarrasment. "The last time I tried to shake it out of my leg, I could not feel it."
The Virtue looked at the Sin's eyes briefly. "Anyway, what are you looking at?" they asked, raising an eyebrow.
thepersonificationoflove started following you
The Virtue had a terrible habit of getting lost. It was late in the afternoon in the city, and they've been walking for such a long time that it felt that their legs were going to fall off!
Perhaps it was time to ask for directions, they thought.
"Does anyone know where I am?" they asked to no one in particular— everyone seemed to look past them or accidentally bump into them, which made the Virtue a bit exasperated about the outing.
Slowly, the Sin began to circle around this new creature. He glanced over the other’s back, hardly catching the small particles of dust that gathered on their clothes.
"….Children are quite curious~ I can most certainly see them doing such things~" Lust said, continuing to walk around Patience. Once he was facing the other again, he continued with, "…Coins~ In your openings~? How…interesting~"
Catching the shiver, Lust raised an eyebrow. "…Was it unpleasant to have that happen~?"
Patience tried to follow the Sin’s gaze by craning their neck, causing an audible crack to be heard whenever they did so.
After the Sin stopped in front of him once again, they rub the back of their neck gingerly as the cracks started to glow faintly once again. “Y… yes,” they mumbled, trying to find the right words. “Mostly because I’m not used with prolonged sensation under there.”
They chuckle awkwardly for a moment. "It took a while to take it out," they added with a sheepish grin.

"Ohhhh~?" Lust shifted himself back a step to get a better look at Patience. What other parts of their body could break and be repaired?
"How often do you meet new people~?" he asked, stepping to the side to get a look behind them. "And do they have strange reactions~? Has anyone tried anything particularly unpleasant~?"
Patience shook their head. "Not very often," they said vaguely. "They ask their questions, I answer to the best of my ability. A few even asked to keep a few fragments for themselves, strangely enough."
The Virtue couldn't help but wonder what exactly the Sin was looking at. Was there something on them? Well, besides glowing cracks and crevices and the occassional bit of skin dust on their clothing.
"But the few children I've met the most… interesting reactions," Patience replied with a tap on their chin. "They occassionally knock on it or poke the openings with something like a leaf or a stick. Or try to fill them up."
"One time, a girl put a few coins in them— like piggy banks," they said with a shiver. Not because it was terrible or traumatizing or anything to that effect, it just that they were merely reminded of the strange metallic sensation against the inside of their skin.
"…So very fascinating~” the Sin repeated just as the other’s arm went completely slack. He had never heard of such a talent. This creature could break apart into clean fragments and pull themself back together. "I wouldn’t want you to break apart every piece of yourself~ That sounds sort of painful~"
Lust gradually lowered Patience’s arm, allowing the limb to move back to their side before releasing his grip. "My apologies~ I’m simply very, very curious about you~ And your body~”
As the Sin relinquished their arm, they couldn't help but feel somewhat relieved. "It's alright," they said in a light tone, before adding in a joking tone "I have to admit, it's a great conversation starter whenever I meet someone new."
Many of the people who had bothered to talk to them, or vice versa, usually seem to get caught up with how their outer layer worked.
-wedges a feather in one of the skin cracks-
The Virtue's body stiffened as the area where the feather was lodged into glows briefly before returning to its usual brightness."That… felt strange," Patience mumbled after some time, taking the feather out.
The Marquis thought as much - it was unlikely that a virtue would be reptilian and, if it was, he’d be almost pleasantly surprised at the development.
"That and you do not have scales to shed, from what I can see, but it is still very interesting to observe skin just cracking and peeling off like that It must get irritating at times." He smiled, almost trying to make a joke.
"In any case, whilst it has been a pleasure getting to meet you and chat with you, I have work to do, and I am sure that you do, too. Feel free to contact me whenever you please and do not be surprised if I drop in from time to time. It is always fun to get to know those working for the other side."
They blinked as the Marquis excused himself. My, how time flies, they mused in their head. The sun was barely visible over the horizon as the sky was in a purplish, bluish, blackish hue that dusks was known for.
"Of course, of course… I understand," they said with a nod.
As they saw him leave, they couldn't help but wonder what his duties were, besides the obvious.
You probably can withstand pain. Forbearance and all.
"Yes, that makes sense," they mumbled, glancing briefly to the cracks on the palm of their hand.Their sense of touch was rather skewed in the sense that more often than not, the only constant feeling he felt was the cool feeling of the underside of their outer layer. Not feeling many sensations can really skew one's perception on 'pain tolerance'.

The Virtue shrugged, cracks forming at their shoulder at the sudden movement. It was an often-asked question, and they had only a vague understanding of how it worked. “It’s pretty brittle, so any sort of movement or pressure I’d do would cause it to break off,” they explained. “It doesn’t hurt or feel like anything, but it’s still rather troublesome…”
"And… um. Thanks," they said lamely as a faint lopsided smile etched their features. "Your sentiments are appreciated."
"Ah," He started, his eyes scanning over the newly forming cracks, "That does make sense." The demon gave a shrug, though he did find it rather interesting. Cracking skin was not something he’d seen on a being that didn’t shed it’s skin like a reptile.
"Though, I would not expect it to hurt, in any case. It does not hurt reptiles when they shed, and you do not seem to be in pain. Though, if you were, I would seriously respect you for putting up with it and acting like it did not."
After the demon's comment, Patience briefly contemplated whether they were, in fact, part reptile but quickly abandoned it due to the fact that it was a bit silly.
"Oh, no, that is most definitely not the case," they replied. "…Probably."
The Virtue had never really considered testing themself to see how tolerant they were with pain, and the thought of doing so sent a shiver down their spine.
When he felt the contact between his fingers and Patience’s wrist, Lust paused. He was so very curious about this Virtue…He wanted to know more.
"So fascinating~…" Lust said calmly, even as the other creature tried to carefully pull themself from his grip. "…Is this a true story~? Can you repair anything like that~? Any part of that body~?” His fingers pressed slightly, turning Patience’s wrist over in his grip.
"…Let you go~?"
"In theory, yes," Patience replied as they let their arm go slack as soon as they realized that it was no use to fight against the grip. Sooner or later the Sin had to let go, right?
"I mean, I haven't broken off every inch of myself and attempted to re-piece it," the Virtue explained. "But I can probably do it if given the chance."
"And, um, yes," they said, observing the Sin's curious expression with a curious expression of their own. "I mean, you could've been less forceful about it, but it's fine."
