He seemed to fall silent at her words, which seemed to leave her uncertain of whether they were a reassurance or only adding to his own insecurities. Silence fell between them again, making her attention dart sideways. She had been honest; said too much. If she wanted to, Raven could easily peer into his emotions; but part of her was too frightened to do so. Afraid that she was going to witness something that she didnât like; that he would claim that it had been a mistake. That he didnât feel that way anymore, it was just a spur of his emotions. Nothing was said, and she figured that she should say something. Anything that would make him feel more comfortable, was it worth losing a friend over her own ridiculous emotions?Â
Her gaze only returned to him when she felt his hands on her, making her realize just how close they were. She could smell the scent of his minty breath, his piercing blue eyes making her want to drown in them. Dark locks of hair were curling to his forehead and she in constant internal combat of whether to push them aside or allow them to hang loosely. Raven had seen beautiful things, but none of them seemed to hold a candle to how god-like and majestic he appeared now. So strong, but so vulnerable. It felt like her heart started to swell, and his added words only contributed to it. â Jason   â she started. Her breath hitched as he leaned in closer, feeling as his lips pressed softly against hers. The umbrella she held in her hand fell from her fingers, making her fall silent once more.
Even his lips were wet due to the rain, she could feel as his nose brushed against hers. Leaning in closer, her fingers moved to tangle in his dark and damp locks which curled slightly due to the downpour. Her eyelids fluttered closed as she pulled him closer to her, feeling as the material of his clothing clashed with hers; leaving her remaining no longer dry. Despite the closeness of them, she felt that it was never enough. It had just been a taste and now she was hungering for more; everything he would give. There was a reason why people liked each other, fell in love over and over again. The constant yearning for somebody to understand, for affection, to love. She understood it now.
He couldn't really describe how the feeling of her returning his kiss made him feel. Some part of him still searched for a reason to not believe she could really feel the same way he did, but he wasnât stupid enough to believe something like that; not right now.
As new cold rain drops fell on his shoulders he realized sheâd dropped the umbrella. His lips left hers for a moment only to return again just seconds later. He knew he couldnât be bothered with the rain, but it wasnât fair that sheâd get sick too. So after he allowed himself another kiss, and for his fingers to trace up the back of her neck he separated from her again. Eyes curiously looked her up and down, still seemingly shocked that this was even happening. As lips parted to say something he noticed the rain running down the side of her neck, and decided then to kiss the skin he found there instead and taste the rain.
There was no possible way for him to know how much heâd enjoy kissing her. What was supposed to be one simple kiss on her neck turned into him remaining there much longer than he intended. The next kiss would trail higher than the first, his breath leaving hot puffs of fog in the air. The one that followed that was much more passionate and would most likely leave a small bruise on her pale skin. As he reached her jaw line he allowed himself to gently suck the skin he found there, then leave a gentle kiss as now to mark her up too badly. The thought of doing that of course, was stored away for later. âWe should probably go..â Was mumbled against her skin, hands both now resting on her hips. Heâd allow himself to step halfway back, a smile gently slipping across his features. âIt might be a little suspicious if weâre both sick at the same time.â
