Here is my humble TADC theory....(please keep in mind I am an amateur programmer and probably missing a lot!!! :3)

It's all about abstraction.

So, what is it? Well, in computer programming, abstraction is something along the lines of "hiding away the finer details and only showing surface level operations"(e.g. print('Hello, World!') vs public static void main this that whatever).

So how does this translate over to the circus?

Well when a character abstracts, they lose everything that makes them unique. But notice how they all abstract into the same creature. I believe that this is their superclass. (As in, they are all "children" of the creature in the sense that they inherit its properties and methods). So coming back to abstraction, it seems to be reverting back to that superclass...

But what does this mean?

It means that abstraction might be reversible. After all, the digital circus characters would still be "objects" stored in the game's memory, meaning all you would have to do to reverse abstraction is to re-instantiate the abstracted character, that is, return them to their proper class instead of their superclass.

But how would this translate over into TADC?

Well... I don't know. The closest I can think of is some sort of way to forcibly insert qualities of the character from before they abstracted onto any abstracted creature to bring them back, but I'm not sure what the details of it would be...
