Taylor Swift will always and forever remain in my life, literally. 2 years ago I was the happiest I had been in a long time. My solace ended up being the 1989 album. One particular song though, was my saving grace and forever anthem. “Clean”. Now to many this song is a good song to get yourself back together after a rough break up. To me this song meant the same but not a breakup with a person, but a breakup with my struggle with mental illness. Depression and Anxiety were not going to ruin my life and take away my happiness. The majority of my happiness comes from music and just like in “Clean”, when I was drowning my self in my favorite music by my favorite artists, that’s when I could finally breathe. Music became my rain that washed away every trace of my mental illnesses. Of course they are still there and are present in my life 24/7, so is music and it’s a good distraction. @taylorswift, I want to thank you for personally being a light in my life during very dark times. Your music does nothing but bring joy, love and happiness. Thank you, thank you, and I love you. @taylorswift @taylorswift @taylorswift @taylornation
