[PETITION] A call for action against hostile online attacks
Hello! This is Eyes On RYU.
We are helping our friends from Ryu Jun Yeol DC Gallery that has reached out to us to aid them in spreading this word about the on-going petition that they have. If you have time, please continue reading and we encourage your participation as well.
Nine months have passed since C-JeS Entertainment (hereafter C-JeS) issued a strict warning against hostile online attacks directed at one of its actors, Ryu Jun Yeol. Despite announcing that false rumors and other forms of viral crime that damagingly misrepresent Ryu Jun Yeol and his acquaintances would not be tolerated, C-JeS has since released zero statements on the outcome of any legal action taken on behalf of Ryu, with the exception of one or two news articles noting that lawsuits are still ongoing.
As a result, malicious and indiscriminate attacks against Ryu have not only continued but have grown even more vicious over the past few months. Ryu’s fans, stuck between the negligent attitude of C-JeS and the enormity of assaults carried out by these online commenters, have also suffered.
Instead of indefinitely waiting for C-JeS to act, Ryu’s fans have now decided to take matters into their own hands in order to protect Ryu’s reputation and integrity. Going forward, we strongly urge C-JeS to approve the legal action that Ryu’s fan coalition plan to take on behalf of the actor, that is, filing lawsuit(s) as necessary for defamation and libel.
We are calling for your help and support regarding this matter, especially from the international fan community. Everyone of us do not want our lovely actor to experience such intentional attacks and would want everyone to not be manipulated into thinking that the rumours about him are true.
