Summary

The Uchiha have ruled the land of Fire for generations. Day one of @tobiizusummer: Yōkai or Yūrei

Decided to participate very last minute (mostly because I forgot it was happening, sorry) but I have made sketches already for each day, so, hopefully, I should be able to get through this one.

Chose to have a little ghost Izuna because I like pain. The unfinished/sketch like aspect is intentional.

I do really enjoy how Tobirama looked genuinely surprised Izuna died, or that he didn't dodge his Hiraishin. Does he feel guilt, perhaps he is disappointed, in himself for not being careful enough, or in Izuna, for being too confident in his abilities. Perhaps he feels lonely, because Izuna was like a reflection, a perfect match for him to grow and become better.

Maybe seeing his ghost wander around him would help, maybe not.

Summary:

Tobirama blinks a few times, the shape of the boy imprinted on the insides of his eyelids as if he were made of light. It’s the first image he’s ever seen with clear eyes, and the longer he watches, the more he notices. The boy’s kimono is marred with long black streaks as if it’s been singed. He walks with bare feet. The cats circle him and weave between his legs, and they should trip him, but they don’t. Tobirama stares and stares until the boy and his cats are so far off that they seem to vanish into nothingness.

Yes, I was tearing through books constantly, and talking to this teacher at least weekly. Because even though I always loved reading as a kid, literature was always a very weak subject for me in terms of a teaching-to-standardized-test school setting (I just do awful on "what color were the curtains" type multiple choice questions. Those details don't stick in my memory THEY JUST DON'T). But that didn't matter for this class. I could just read my way out of any bad test score. I have always had fond memories of how I "fudged" my way through that class and "abused' the extra credit policy.
