it's cathartic to him as he can't remember much after returning to his arrancar form; when he does release verruga, he loses himself in the hunger and the only thing that goes through his head is: food and must eat now.

a grueling sport battle with a high ranking adjuchas finished, tesla’s head lifted to taste the thick hueco mundo air. that’s when he felt it -- familiar -- the large, instantly recognizable reiatsu that was something like a home to him. h o m e. homehome-

at that point, nothing could stop him --  not even the quickly dissolving body he didn’t get to finish eating -- from twisting around from his current spot and stampeding towards its source. calling me -- important.

sand flew around them in a dense cloud as he skidded to a halt in front of his beloved master. nnoitra-sama. he knew that, in this form, it’d be a pitiful attempt to communicate properly, but it didn’t stop him from trying either way.

tesla had a difficult job.

no, he didn’t dabble in some insufferable customer service job. no, he didn’t happen to slave over cutting fruit in some factory all day for a minimum wage that’s pretty impossible to live a regular life off of in this day and age.

instead, his work consisted of tracking down targets and disposing of them in any way he saw fit (though sometimes, a client may ask for specific ways to off their chosen game. for that, he made them pay extra). he’s a contract killer, and the most difficult part of this is... not getting caught.

so when he was contacted by someone to ‘meet up’ and to ‘discuss their partnership’ in person -- in a populated area -- it set off major red flags. while he definitely had the option to ignore this potential client’s request, he decided against it and sent them emails back:

[20:36:07] i hope you realize that you need to pay before i agree with anything you want to discuss.

[20:37:00] ...and show proof you’re to be trusted if this is truly urgent.

     ❝ thinkin’ about what? ❞      he hums, hand shifting back to card his fingers through the man’s hair. it’s POSSESSIVE, tugging ever so gently to remind his PIG he could tear his head right from his shoulders—- should he so DESIRE to. nnoitra pulls back, smiling that saccharine, gentle smile of his; it shadows the mood the mantis has found himself in. PLAYFUL, lucky for tesla.

     ❝ ——- i told you to wipe that fuckin’ look off your face. SMILE. ❞      he whispers a threat, tapping gently against the blond’s bottom lip and smiling himself, showing off DEADLY teeth. 

“it’s,” he found it hard to focus when the subject of his desire was... right there; looming over him, threatening. the tug sent an icy chill down his spine. if he had any sort of self preservation within him when around nnoitra, it’d be common sense that tilting his head back to revel in the touch and exposing his vulnerable neck in front of the mantis would've been a grave mistake.

“-- it’s... i don’t think it would be of much importance to you, nnoitra-sama. my feelings should be the least concern of your worries.” with the response came a small, gentle smile.
