There was never a dull moment on the Enterprise. Today, the chief science officer was holding the engineering crew hostage with a grenade. He was pissed and thought the engineers were playing pranks on him while he worked. Overreaction was an understatement. Luckily, Kirk was wearing a red shirt due to a lost bet with an engineer. He walked behind the CSO and bashed him over the head with a pipe, knocking him out. - A week later, Kirk put an ad in the newspaper on Earth.

Rummaging through the paper she saw an ad placed by the Captain of the Enterprise. Immediately she submitted her application on the site listed and waited, hoping for at least a chance.
