“You don’t have to be rude, y’know.” She made a slight scoffing noise. “I’M out this late because I had to talk to my boss about some shit that’s been going on, whatever. And whatever you got inside ya is obviously hurting, probably quite a bit. Maybe more than that.” 

Shell shook her head, forgetting about the tweezers. “You shouldn’t be using your fingers for that, it’ll make whatever is in your body deeper and harder to pull out. You need help.” 

She didn’t care if he was a bloody fucking mess. She remembered what those fuckers did to her for several days and nights before finally shooting her through the head.

     HE CATCHES A TWINGE in the back of his head as      everything spontaneously cuts out of view. It’s maybe      a second before his vision returns to normal and he      gets off his back. With a hand on his stomach and      another feeling along the wall in front of him, he      focuses on balancing himself.

     THERE’S A MESS OF RED and black as the tattered      skin begins patching itself with flame. Blood seeps      through the small gashes in his chest once his body      finally recognizes iron does not belong there.

ZING! With a flick of his sword Toshiro sliced the glock clean into two pieces. “Last time I heard, nature was free ground for everyone. Plus, I was dispatched to this area by…higher authorities. So technically you’re trespassing on…temporary federal property so I am going to have to ask you to leave.” Toshiro returned his sword to its sheath.

     GAVIK FEELS THE WEIGHT fall from his hand      and twitches as the separate shards of metal hit      the ground. Suddenly he finds a sharp pain in      his temple, and there’s not an inch of his insides      that isn’t on fire.
