I love this artwork. Reminds me of when I lived in California in a boring town that had a stunning mountain backdrop. I used to love looking at it while all the locals had gone numb to the view from seeing it so many times. Every time I saw it though, it felt like seeing it for the first time and that feeling never faded. More thoughts later.

Sometimes, we never know where that spark of hope comes from when life gets dark and gives us no reason or sign to be optimistic. Maybe it comes from that future version of ourselves that knows everything is gonna be alright; the future self that revisits us on occasion through remembrance, wishing we could feel their reassurance. Although we may never know where it comes from exactly, we know it’s comfort and it’s perfect timing. More thoughts later.
ENTRY 695
The False Self Dies at 40, Then This Happens...
“You see, there’s something rather extraordinary that happens to a person around the age of forty.
Not to everyone, mind you, but to those who have been paying attention, to those who haven’t been entirely asleep through the first half of their lives.
What happens is this, they wake up.
They don’t wake with a jolt or some dramatic revelation necessarily, but with a quiet recognition that everything they once thought was important, well, simply is not.
Now this is curious because we’ve been told our entire lives that youth is the golden time, that the twenties and thirties are when life really happens.
This is during a time when we’re supposed to be climbing ladders and making names for ourselves, during a time we are trying to prove to the world that we matter.
And so, we spend these decades running.
But, running after what exactly?
Running after an idea, an idea of success that somebody else handed to us.
Running after an idea of happiness that came from some magazine or television show.
Running after an idea of who we should be that has nothing whatsoever to do with who we actually are.
Many thought at the age of 25 that we had it all figured out.
We thought we knew exactly where we were going and how to get there.
So, many of us were certain if not absolutely convinced that if we just worked hard enough, if we just achieved enough, if we just accumulated enough, then we would finally be happy.
Do you know what happened?
We worked hard, we achieved, and we accumulated.
When we eventually got there, when we finally reached that place we thought was the destination, we looked around and said, “is that all?”
You see, the first forty years of life, they’re really for a kind of preparation.
Not a preparation in the way we usually think of it, as in preparing for something better, later.
No, it’s more like the way a caterpillar prepares to become a butterfly.
The caterpillar doesn’t know it’s preparing.
It’s simply living, eating leaves, crawling around; doing what caterpillars do but all the while something is building inside it.
Something is getting ready.
This is what your twenties and thirties are and what they’re for.
You’re the caterpillar.
You think you’re just living your life, making your mistakes, having your heart breaks, building your career, and trying to figure out who you’re supposed to be.
In reality, you’re really gathering material.
You’re collecting experiences.
You’re learning lessons that you won’t understand until much later on in life.
When you’re young, life feels urgent.
Everything matters so desperately much that the job you didn’t get, the person who rejected you, or the mistake you made last weekend feels like the end of the world.
This is because when you’re young, you believe that every moment is defining you, that every choice is permanent, and that every failure is a judgement on your worth as a human being.
But here is what nobody tells you.
All of that urgency, all of that desperation, is just growing pains before transformation.
Last day of the old, first day of the new.”

“What It Really Means”
1.) If a person laughs too much at silly things, deep inside they’re lonely.
2.) If someone sleeps a lot, it often means that they’re sad.
3.) If someone talks less, then they’re protecting their heart from being hurt.
4.) If someone cries easily over small things, they’ve been holding in pain for too long.
5.) If a person gets angry too quickly, it means they care too deeply but don’t know how to express it.
6.) If someone avoids eye contact, they’re hiding truths or emotions they’re hesitant to show.
7.) If a person stays busy all the time, it means that they’re running from their thoughts.
8.) If a person isolates themselves, it’s not because they hate people but because they don’t want to be a burden to anyone.
9.) If a person always smiles, it means that they’re the one who hurts the most at night.
10.) If a person loves to help everyone, it means they know how it feels to suffer alone.
11.) If a person forgives easily, it means they value peace over pride.
12.) If a person overthinks everything, it means they’ve been put in situations where trust had been broken.
13.) If a person has mood swings often, it means they’re fighting personal battles that you don’t see.
14.) If someone can’t say “no,” it means they fear losing people.
15.) If someone always gives the best advice, it’s because they lived through a lot of pain.

"When you start with nothing, you have nothing to lose, which means every single step forward is a victory.
The phrase "How can I lose? I started with nothing" is a powerful motivational mindset.
It highlights that zero is not an empty space; it is a solid foundation where failure carries no penalty and growth is the only direction left.
Whether you are applying this philosophy to rebuilding your finances, your career, or taking control of your physical health, you can leverage starting from zero into an unstoppable advantage by focusing on key habits.
Shift Your Mindset - Embrace the Liberation: Recognize that having zero resources removes the fear of losing.
Collect Data, Not Defeat: View every mistake or rejection as a data point to refine your strategy.
Define Your Own Success: Set realistic checkpoints based on your situation instead of comparing your start to someone else's middle or finish.
Master Free Physical Habits: If your goal is to lose weight or build physical discipline without spending money, focus on high-impact, zero-cost habits like going for daily walks. Increase your steps to burn calories and clear your mind without expensive gym memberships. You can also utilize portion control. Simply cutting down your regular meal portions naturally creates a necessary calorie deficit. Can't leave out prioritizing protein. Eat protein-rich foods early in the day to increase fullness and reduce cravings. There's also bodyweight training. Build a strength routine with free movements like push-ups, squats, and planks. Build your strategy from scratch by taking private accountability. Use free apps like MyFitnessPal to log your habits and track your metrics.
In General, Focus on What You Can Control: Redirect energy away from worry and toward small, daily, repeatable actions with plenty of self-encouragement.
Expose Yourself to New Things and Opportunities: Put yourself in uncomfortable positions to accelerate your learning and growth, also known as leaving the comfort zone.
You got this!"

This is what "my misery doesn't like company" looks like.
I'd prefer not to take it out on others, alongside preferring not to talk to people who don't understand anyway. And so, I stay isolated until I have everything figured out.
I've heard this is a symptom or sign of past trauma, but I don't see it as anything I need to fix or work on.
In these moments, I'm not self-harming nor am I trying to drag others down with me. I'm not allowing triggers to take over nor am I allowing the pain to turn me into something I shouldn't be.
In these moments, I'm actually trying. I'm self-regulating while untying the knots. The isolation might not be the most popular tactic but to me it's essential for focus.
I get it figured out, I heal what I have to, alchemize what I need to, and then tomorrow is a new day. Giving up is not an option. More thoughts later.

💻 How It Started:
Sims Social 2012 - 2013
📱 How It’s Going:
Sims FreePlay 2013 - Present
I had no idea my account was this old until I got this random curiosity for how long I've been playing.
I hardly remember anything from Sims Social. It was all over Facebook until it wasn't. I really enjoyed being able to play while the overall structure of the game was optional.
It's been great for distraction and stress relief, and I've really come to enjoy decorating and redecorating all the homes I've built up over the years. Had to conclude with a couple of pics of Bella Goth, a reoccurring character in the game’s franchise that most players would recognize from challenges.
Just wanted to share. I have everything else in this blog, so why not? More thoughts later.

Antique washstands, what I wouldn’t give to get my hands on one! Historically popular from the 19th to early 20th centuries, they were mostly used before indoor plumbing became a thing. I included a picture of it and some additional pics from around the time they were popular. I once had a vision of me and my twin flame going for a walk, and I was wearing clothes similar to what is pictured here. I always wondered about past life possibilities, especially the more I feel drawn to certain things like this. Interesting stuff. My mother actually has one rotting in the attic of her house, but I’ve had to let go of my dreams of taking ownership of it. Hopefully one day, I’ll have my own with or without it belonging to previous generations in the family. In the meantime, I’ll just post here hoping I’m not the only one that likes vintage furniture. I have a sixty-day task in the game I’m currently playing. Won’t take long as it’s a matter of seconds to check in. But, it is every day for the next sixty days. I remember when I did that thirty-day song challenge that keeping a copy on Tumblr actually helped me to remember better. Doing the same thing now, just for a different reason. Adding random emojis as well. Because, why not? I’ll only get a couple to a few keys at a time, so I’m eager to see how much I’ll have when it’s all over. More thoughts later.

Spirit Houses
If you are building a Western-style nature or folk spirit house, the instructions are below.
The phrase "spirit house" can refer to the strictly regulated Southeast Asian shrines or to Western creative folk art.
The Modern Folk & Garden Spirit House
If your goal is to build an intuitive, Western-style folk altar or a whimsical garden spirit house, you have much more creative freedom.
1. Source the Materials
You can build a folk spirit house out of almost anything, but using items with personal history or natural resonance works best.
🔅 The Shell: An old wooden birdhouse, a hollowed-out log, a thrifted jewelry box, or an antique wooden stand.
🔅 Natural Elements: Driftwood, bark, flat stones, moss, and pinecones for decoration.
🔅 Adhesives: Outdoor-grade wood glue or heavy-duty epoxy.
2. Construction Steps
Carve out or cut the shape to create an entry point.
🔅 If using wood, tools like a rotary carver or a Dremel can add textured details.
🔅 If it will live outdoors, seal the wood with a clear exterior varnish to withstand the weather regardless of the season.
🔅 Install lights inside the house. Setting them to a gentle "pulse" or "twinkle" acts as a beacon for positive energies.
3. Dedication & Maintenance
Set up the house in a quiet, undisturbed area of your yard, garden, or indoor altar space.
🔅 Acknowledge the Divine and the land you’re on by taking a quiet moment to state your peaceful intentions.
🔅 Maintain the connection by regularly leaving small, clean offerings on the porch such as fresh water, colorful flowers, or aromatic incense.
I hope to make a spirit house for my garden soon! The list of projects are piling up, but we’ll see which ones I actually get to. More thoughts later.
