Because I love creating monsters i made one for DnD for the first time!

Its name is the Contravultus (from latin, opposite face). It's an insectoid with a body like a centipede, claw-like hands and a mouth on top of its head:

To hunt it uses its claws and the sharp point on its head, once the prey is dead, the Contravultus places it on top of the head where the circular mouth is located, locking it in place.

One of its tactics is to hunt a small animal, just to hide himself underground below it and use it as a bait to catch other animals. It will only come out on the surface when the night is humid, as the dry air and hot temperatures damages it. Because it lives underground it's blind, it scans its surroundings using soundwaves.
