Do you take requests for cc?

-I take suggestions! I make no promises, but I’ll definitely look into anything that’s suggested to see if it’s within my skill set and I have the time and interest to do it. The only thing I’m mostly likely to say no to are outfits, as they take a lot of work and I’m still not particularly skilled at making them.

What tools do you use?

-Ninja Ripper (the free version) to extract assets from the game, Noesis to view them, Blender to edit the meshes, Photoshop to edit the textures, and Sims4Studio to put them in the game.

Would you make a tutorial?

-Probably not! I’m still pretty new at making cc (and using blender) so I’m not the best to teach, but if you have a specific question I’m happy to try and help or point you in the right direction.

finally getting somewhere with this. transparency in the sims, you are my nemesis.

Like...

The hair is separated into two pieces, the first got imported fine with the rest of the models meshes, but the second piece is off to the side and rotated differently. And maybe im stupid (i am) but I can never rotate it just right to make it fit again like a puzzle piece, I always have to get each part of the separated piece close enough before manually pulling the edges together.

I'm pretty sure this is unique to ninja ripper, or it's just gw2's fault, cuz it hasn't happened with other games I've ripped from. And it seems to always happen to pieces that have a lot of transparent parts.

(I'm new to making mods myself, and even then I'm actually trying to make mods for a different game, but many Sims hairstyles work for Dragon Age, so I was hoping someone ported this already and try it out... but from what I can see, you are the only one (?) making GW2 mods, hence why I thought it couldn't hurt to ask.) Your Sylvari look fantastic, by the way. Wish I could mod as well as you!

I have thought about it! But from what I’ve seen of gw2’s human and nord hairstyles, they use transparency in their textures and I’m still learning how to make that work in the sims.

Transparency in the sims is weird so i tend to avoid it but I do need to learn how to do it eventually, so I’ll keep this hair in mind to try it!
