There is a moment to himself, with Link holding his breath as guilt weighs down ever so heavily on his heart. The man is no serpent. He hates lies and telling them. It made him feel dirty, manipulative, just like those who had falsely accuse him of crimes committed by no one. Yet regardless of the tainted feeling he carries, he smiles, looking into eyes brimmed with worry. “Yes, of course.” 

He lies.

The movement was automatic, Warriors chin raising up just a bit higher as sized the other up. This should have been a routine check, it would have been a routine check if not for that little rift in time closing behind him. Now he was faced with….well the mention of men implied this stranger shared a commanding rank, but those clothes…

The scarf and tunic were reserved for the hero. Warriors certainly wasn’t expecting to meet another, but perhaps it was more symbolic than literal?

[…your outfit. H-E-R-O?]

While usually quick with his tongue, this is a rare instance where he finds himself taken aback. As if carrying a similar appearance wasn’t already jarring enough, he now discovers that they share the same alias. 

But surely, that too must be a coincidence. No, he is not one to delude himself of something so implausible. This must be an act of impersonation. It was all too common for weasels to try and sneak into the ranks for personal gain. Despite his distrust, however, he refrains from making any false accusations. As someone who had been on the receiving end, it was not something he wished upon anyone else.

  There was a slight flinch in the hero while his hand was relieved of the dead weight of destiny. He had been through this routine enough that the sword’s shattering felt numb. He was as cold and uncaring toward it as it had been to him. All the more reason he’d reduced the Blade of Evil’s Bane to menial tasks like chopping firewood.

  But to the other, his panic and pain struck a cord of guilt. For once. Hunter never thought about how the sword’s part in the legend was just as valued as the hero’s.  

  “Um…” he paused, considering his words slowly. “It… comes back… After a while.”

Hearing the one responsible in the midst of his panic, he takes a deep, long winded breath. While his attempt to assure him was appreciated, it only left the lingering spirit with even more questions. “... A while as in how long...?” He spat with suspicion; his concern unmeasurable. “Are you implying that this is normal?”

It’s okay, the rest of the Link’s’ll band together to form one tol Link. First can celebrate his victory— for now

Cue Time staring up at First, looking like he’s betrayed him in some way :c how dare he be so tol...

First was not particularly in good shape when he was sent off to face Demise. Four years of prison has left him malnourished and physically crippled, including: 

His wrists bearing scars from metal cuffs, limiting his mobility when wielding the sword. Degraded muscles also made it difficult for him to utilize his full strength.

An inability walk properly for days after his release due to reduced muscle mass and being chained into place for so many years.

Losing great deal of his appetite as a result of starvation and malnourishment during his time in prison. He was a hefty eater prior to his sentence.
