There’s someone there already. He can see them. They seem like they’ve got a lot on their mind. Should Mario approach and ask what’s wrong?  ❝...Hellooo?❞

He doesn’t know if he should approach. He doesn’t want to start a fight with anybody, like the goody-two-shoes, pacifistic person he is.

Then he spots the trainer.  ❝A-Ah, sorry! Please don’t be mad...! I-I was just passing by, and I couldn’t help but notice your Pokemon!❞ ...That IS a Pokemon, right? He’s seen Pokemon like Charmander before. Came from “Kanto”, they said. But THIS lizard? Never seen before! He’s a curious lad.  ❝Y’see, I’ve-a seen Pokemon before... but I’ve never seen THIS particular Pokemon before! What a lovely shade of blue. What region are you from?❞

❝...! Oh, please pardon me. I didn't see you there! Are you new here too?❞

Mario couldn’t tell who’s been here long or not, he’s only been here a day. LESS than a day. The faster that the red capped man could make some friends, the better. He didn’t want to be alone here. He honestly hadn't meant to bump into the other - he was trying to navigate back to his housing. However, this would be the perfect friend-making opportunity! Mario was already feeling a little lonely. Back home he was surrounded by many friends. He barely knew anybody here.

A kind smile greeted the other. Mario was known for giving these out.   ❝Hey, are you okie-dokie? I hope I’m-a not being too... er... what’s that English word for stepping into a stranger’s business? But, I dunno, you just kinda... look like you need someone to talk to?❞

Poor Mario. The stress of being separated from his friends and family and THEN being tossed into some weird city must have done a number on him, huh?
