((Haven't forgotten about this blog, December is a busy month in general and I am also Suffering through a bug that's been running rampant in the house so my art energy goes to The Isle--

There is a moment of hesitation as April approaches the pained creature. She's seen this one before; there is no doubt in her mind about it. That nightmarish night she had lost her friend. It still haunts her memories. After all this time, the human had thought they weren't ever coming back, and there they were. Guilt written all over her face, April extended her arm and gently touched the being's shoulder. She hoped there was a spark left inside... But she didn't see it.
[There's no outward reaction from the looks of it, but it's as if the being froze up. After the human's hand was removed, a piece of the armor loosened up and fell off with an unceremoniously loud 'KLUNK'.]
...how...?
[Pulled from their thoughts however, they slowly start to form a response to the other newcomer.]
I...didn't think this could come off, I tried so much to get this off...
Maybe I could use help for these other pieces...

I...almost forgot the words. I don't remember their faces, or their voices, but...I think the word I'm looking for is friends. I was with friends, or...family.

I...don’t know what it means to be alright anymore. Having company is...nice, though. I was alone for a very long time, I don’t know how much time has passed...I just know it’s been very quiet.

[Within the strange rift, after peering long enough, landscapes begin to come through-like looking through water onto sand below. They’re muddied, but it isn’t difficult to tell what they are...or rather, what they were.]
[The rift contains desolated land-fires, floods, earthquakes. Hardly anything could survive such circumstances, if anything could at all.]
I...don’t know. I was with...others...and now I’m here...

((Hey all, this blog isn’t dead after all-
After a very quick burst in inspiration I think I’m at a point where I can do this blog as well, albeit probably sporadically. asktheisle is my baby and my main focus, but I intend to work on this one too and hopefully-maybe-update every week or so
that said, this blog is going to have a persistently different overarching tone than my other blog, and I just wanna throw that out there-
this blog is going to essentially fall in line with a literary tragedy, which means that whenever this blog reaches its end-it won’t be the happiest ending
in fact, the first post is gonna establish that, but I just wanna throw that out there so it’s known-not like interactions and characters are gonna be downers or anything, but I just want it known where this story is gonna head in general-
I got a bunch of stuff to do at the moment but I’m hoping to get an intro post either tonight or sometime tomorrow, I’ll see you all theeeeen-))
