but if you really think you have room to improve on things (and everyone does!) then you've got to be able to take a complaint from a friend without treating it as a declaration that person hates you or without wallowing in your self-hatred in a way that makes them feel guilty for ever bringing it up
if those close to you bring a problem to your attention respectfully, it's because they care enough about the relationship and you to want to see you change that behavior instead of, say, just cutting you out of their life. you don't have to change just because they asked you to, you still shouldn't make them regret asking.

unfortunately this is lowkey the logical next step of the blurred fucking lines between fandom and creator spaces in mcyt: creators now think they’re actually entitled to their fanspaces and can enforce tumblr and ao3 tags and even private discord servers the same way they would a twitch chat or comments section. my haterisms were correct all along and i maintain that all creators need get the hell off of tumblr and do NOT fucking go on ao3. Upcoming Development Period
We will be undergoing another development period after this year's event to focus on reviewing feedback, updating site & server information, improvements to moderation procedures, and more. On August 19th, 2026 the site and server will be set to read-only. Functionality will be restored on November 1st, 2026.
